I had a great experience in south of the wall, the tacos were loaded and delicious. Pork belly, steak, and Jarritos were my favourite, the quedasadillas are also amazing and the cocktails were classy and unique!!The staff were very helpful and attentive.

OK for a good time and good food on a night out. The vibe and seating wasn’t that great. Music was too loud

Great place, amazing food and lovely staff! Great vibes too! Love coming here and always have. The menu changes often and we love trying new things. Great location too, close to Swan street and the MCG 5 stars from me!!!

It was one thing after another. We ordered wine. They brought dirty glasses and told us they were out of the wine we ordered. The replacement Shiraz was something you'd buy to celebrate turning 18. We opted for beer instead. My water glass was also dirty. The water tasted lemony. I remarked on that, but no one else at the table tasted lemony water from the communal decanter. I suspect that there'd been lemon on the rim. Weird.Food: The ceviche was good. The people who ordered burritos enjoyed them enough. The lamb taco was tasty, but the rest of the tacos were poor quality: over-seasoned, over-stuffed, over-fried, mushy, and bland. We tried the fish, mushroom, cactus, and prawn tacos. As an aside, I don't understand why more places don't double up the tortilla like street tacos all over Mexico do. The nachos and spicy guacamole were generic. The chips were Coles basic rather than hand cut. They had hand-cut ones with the ceviche, which were great. I don't know why they don't serve them with the guac.Vibe: As evidenced by all the Red Bull-based cocktails, the vibe is very much, early 20s, let's get drunk. So, if you're looking to get a good buzz on with mediocre food, give it a go.Overall: The atmosphere of the room was buzzy, and the staff were trying their hardest. If you're looking for quality Mexican food, this isn't it.

Super cheap with the eatclub deal. 35% off from like $120 for two people to $80 for like 10 tacos, nachos and two beers and a cocktail. Crazy value. Would come here again as the pork belly taco was good, the fish was not bad, the steak was good and the lamb was interesting. The spicy fk that’s hot taco is deadly.

Held my 30th birthday at South of the Wall with their bottomless brunch. The staff were so nice and attentive from the moment we arrived. You really get your money's worth for the food (tacos, fried chicken, chips and guac) and bottomless drinks. It's such a great space too! Definitely recommend

My partner was super excited to take me and the two girls here for a Saturday outing. It was an oversight on our part not to book. We were told the place was fully booked out til 1am (fair enough). Partner politely enquired as to whether there was any way we could make it work (Ie eat quicker, sit in a different part of the restaurant, come back a bit later etc). He was told “now I just don’t want to serve you. You’re out.” (Amongst other micro-gestures I won’t bother to detail) Not accepting us at the restaurant was fine but the way it was communicated was not. Very aggressive and such a power trip. Honestly, we always teach our girls to ask for things. You don’t know what’s possible until you ask. We were polite the whole time, and having lots of friends in hospitality we know what a tough time it’s been for everyone especially small business owners. A simple no we really can’t today would’ve sufficed. No need for such a power over.

I had the chicken taco and the pork belly taco and they both came out lukewarm. The chicken taco was very watery and lacked flavour and the pork belly taco was better but didn't have much flavour either. However the ambience and staff were very nice and the chips with mayo were good.

Super cool vibe here - absolutely love all the decor especially the mural that inspired the name out back! A more modern take on Mexican food and we loved everything we tried - especially the birria tacos and kingfish ceviche which were our favourites. Staff were very accomodating and altered a few dishes to be gluten free for us as well.
