Pharmacy Torquay

I'm a local and use this pharmacy often. I've always found them to be incredibly friendly and very helpful when I need advice. They've always been careful to understand what I'm looking for so they can recommend the right solutions and the onsite nutritionist stepped in to give me extra background on supplements. Whenever I'm not sure exactly what product I need, I visit these guys.

Wow, seems like I'm not the only one to be on the receiving end of rude staff including the pharmacist. Asked for an 'over the counter' medicine, counter staff said no, when I asked why I couldn't have the medicine the pharmacist told to go see my GP to get a script - for a blocked nose. Not the first time I have experienced rude service here, but as I was passing by after shopping thought I would pop in. Never, ever again. Surfcoast Pharmarcy on the Highway getting all my business now and my parents (many) scripts. Much smaller shop but always friendly and helpful, never going back to Pharmacy Torquay.

I handed in my script,I wasn't asked if I wanted a generic brand nor was I told if I buy a brand name drug that I would be hit with a $2.00 surcharge!!Anyway when it came to paying I made a complaint, I was assertive I wasn't rude and all I could hear was the pharmacist complaining in the background saying it was only $2.... so I told him ..... I'm a pensioner and I have to be careful with my money and I expect a professional to be understanding and I also told the ladies behind the counter when someone comes to put the scripts in they should be asking if they want a generic brand and be informed of a $2 surcharge on brand name drugs they clearly we're not impressed with me letting them know and me being assertive........Very,very rude horrible staff!!!!!So UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!Very ARROGANT!!!!!!All they could say is that they have been very busy,it's holiday time and that they normally ask if the customer wants a generic brand and that they make people aware of a $2.00 surcharge!!!!I'm so happy when I go grocery shopping there are no surcharges on individual grocery items....The staff and the pharmacists are very out-of-touch......

Wow - literally use any other pharmacy around. Have never bothered to do a Google review until now but it is among the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. They messed up my script 3 times and we’re super rude to me as though it were my fault. Tried to politely explain it was actually their error, absolutely would not listen to anything I tried to say so I just went quite and let them go at it. Eventually they realised it was their fault, never apologised and still were super salty at me when I finally got the right prescription. Really awful and almost strangely hostile. Literally go anywhere else!

Waited over half an hour for a script for them to tell me they don’t have it, so many people in line and staff are to busy talking to each other.

Don’t bother with this place. Snarky, rude, gossipy staff are running this place into the ground. They sell you out of date medications (exp. date of medication September 22, medication was bought in November 22). When chemist warehouse open in Torquay, this place will be toast. 0 stars if it were possible.

I would seldom take the time to write a negative review - however the staff here are incredibly rude and consistently incompetent. Too many occasions I have witnessed other customers including myself experience rude behaviour and sly remarks. Covid has been a tough time for everyone and taken into consideration before sharing my negative experiences, however this is far from a one-off occasion.Take your business elsewhere and be treated with mutual respect.

I have never felt so uncomfortable in a pharmacy in my entire life. My partner declared that she was exempt to wearing a face mask and they were quick to judge her and gossiped between themselves about whether she should show proof of her exemption.The staff should know how to treat customers especially the fossils working at the front on the cashier. Manners cost nothing. Outrageously awful customer service.
