We came here for fish and chips and we loved it!!! It’s so good we came again before heading back to Melbourne. Fish was fresh and the potato cakes didn’t taste artificial and flour-y. Staff is very welcoming! (Thank you for cutting the lemon we brought) Would highly recommend when you’re around the area!

Busy on a Saturday night the Yabbies team were friendly and prompt - really wish they had a vegetarian spring roll option. Order was cooked fresh and done in a good time. We will be back, great fish and chips.

Needed a quick bite before heading to the festival at the racecourse.The moment you enter, you are greeted with a smile and made you feel very welcome.There is seating inside and outside, and the lovely (owner I think it was) brought our food out to our table.The serving size is massive and I love how the give you loads of lemons and sauce.You could tell they use quality fresh oil and it tasted in the end result.The chips were cooked to perfection and seasoned well.The fish was also cooked to perfection and just pulled apart so easily (and you could tell it was FRESH and not frozen) and just melted in your mouth, the batter was crispy.I was always told you can tell if a place cooks squid correctly, they have good chefs/cooks, well this place does, the squid was to die for, one of the best tasting crumbed squid I have had in a long time.I don't like how some places over batter their products but this place has it worked out to a T, just the right amount of batter.What I don't like about some places is sometimes you walk away and you have the fat taste sitting on the top of your mouth, well not with this place.If I am in the area, I would definitely go back.

Seafood is super fresh and the batter light and crispy and cooked to perfection. Fish and chips are of the like you’d get at a gastro pub. I even enjoyed the potato cakes which are normally gummy discs these are fresh potato slabs. Genuine gluten free options as well.The only let down for me was the sauces. Mayo and tartare sauce tasted like they looked: fake and mass-produced.Despite it the amazingly friendly staff and excellent food are highly recommended in my opinion.

Classic fish and chips at very good prices and portion sizes. Got a tiny pack which was not so tiny and a calamari pack which was decent. Batter they use is okay but needs sauce to go with to make interesting. Old school takeaway vibes which I like but service was a bit slow although they were quite busy that day.

One of the best fish and chips that we have in Melbourne. The fish was very fresh definitely did not disappoint. Staff was very nice and was explaining the different fishes. There are a few tables inside the shop but there is also outdoor seating as well (take note can be cold if it is windy).

We first discovered this place four years ago, and since then my family basically stop here for lunch or dinner whenever we head down to Mornington Peninsula. Quite simply the best fish and chips in Melbourne. Crunchy batter and fresh fish, perfect every time. Staff are always super nice too!

The blue grenadier we ordered was super dry, the fried batter was crispy but overall lacked flavour. The chips verged on inedible. Definitely a strong recommendation to not order food from this establishment

Came here with a big group of people and ordered the fish and chips . It is good! The fish is very fresh so as the calamari and prawn . The calamari is VERY BIG compared to normal size and is also very soft . Definitely recommend !
