A very busy place. I could see there were a lot of people hanging around from far as I walked to the place. I ordered the oysters and cooked prawns first, and they were fresh and of good quality. Then I noticed the two gentlemen sitting at a table near me really enjoying their fish and chips, so I went and ordered the fish and chips as well. The fish was too fresh" to be fried and the batter was one of the best ones I had. Everything I had there were delicious. The staffs were polite and friendly. My overall experience was fabulous."

Owner super rude and had an absolutely filthy apron on, she refused to give me lemon and a fork. Told us we need to eat with our hands. Had an argument with her just to get a piece if lemon, offered $5 for 2 pieces of lemon, after asking 5 times I finally got some, but fork refused. Not a pleasant lunch experience.Have come here a few times and have never experienced anything like this.Very embarrassing when you have a relative from overseas and this happens. I definitely wont be back!Food was not great either and its definitely overpriced for what you get.

We went once before checking the reviews but forgot to take photos. So we went again to take photos just to make this review I don't see why so many one stars it was a nice meal and staff were friendly. We will happily go again

We had fish and chips at this place twice, and both times they were pretty good and large servings. Nice view and pelicans around

I am a care worker and took one of my clients here for lunch. Never ever again. Extremely rude service the entire time, which included being denied a recycled knife to cut up her fish. I was told ‘it’s fish and chips use your hands’. Oh great, the dignity of me pulling apart her hot fish with my hands and a fork… but he was happy to sell me a plastic container of overpriced sauce! Should not be in business. Fish was overpriced and average to say the least.

The worst frozen boxed calamari" I've been served. If you like elastic bands in oil soaked crumbs then this is the place for you. When I took our meal back the man informed me the only fresh items they have are fish

How is this place still open? The old man is so rude. The place is dirty and they want $18.90 for a piece of fish and chips. Stay far away from here. Many, far better cafes and take aways in the main street.

Food not bad but service terrible and we won't be going back, after going there plenty of times over the years. We were told as soon as we arrived that it was cash only - we scraped around and found enough for a small meal to share between 3 of us, only to see the next customer pay with a card. Then the woman who was running the place made sarcastic comments re, how much food we ordered. And all the while she told everyone that came through the door she was only open because she was waiting for a delivery and would be closing up as soon as it arrived because of the bad weather. If you don't want customers and you want to criticise people for what they order, better off to get out of the business. There's plenty of people out there that know how to treat customers - thankfully my visitor from Canada who arrived this morning experienced excellent service for breakfast before this embarrassing encounter for lunch!!
