This business regularly cuts my hair I find the staff friendly, approachable amd charming. I love the no appointments and the wait is always worth it. I would highly recommend uppercuts if you want to feel welcome and treated to an excellent haircut.

I went here to have a haircut fixed which had been butchered by a cutter in Sydney. Kim was amazing - listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the cut that I wanted. Am SO happy with the results <3 :-)

Super busy, which I took as a good sign. Not too long a wait in pleasant waiting area. Took a 10 year old who wanted a new style. Attentive hair dresser took the time to listen, gave a great cut that was very well received and also took the time to explain how we can style it at home. Very reasonably priced. Definitely be back

Not the best customer service or value for money.

I had my hair cut here previously and the staff member was rude. The hair cut was fine so I went back today. I stood at the counter waiting whilst 2 hairdressers kept looking at me and not acknowledging me. They both continued talking. They didn’t even come to the counter or even say “I’ll be with you in a minute” I ended up just walking out. As a Katoomba local I’d hate a tourist to walk in and get that treatment! I won’t be back again.

Terrific value and service! Uppercuts Katoomba did an incredible job of fixing a disastrous haircut I’d given myself at home with clippers - the guard slipped off and I gave myself a reverse-Mohawk down the middle of my head. Uppercuts disguised it and styled around it, balancing the cut perfectly. I’ll return for sure and highly recommend this salon.

Best hairdressing experience I’ve ever had! Sounds a bit extreme but true! Background music suited me, COVID check-in simple, my hairdresser and the others I witnessed were friendly and efficient (my favourite combination) and all at a very fair price!

I did an impromptu walk in for a haircut on the 20th December 2022 at around 930am. I have previously been to this hairdresser several times. On this day, I was waiting inside. One of the hairdressers had finished a haircut without sweeping the hair off the floor from the previous client and another hairdresser had called me over and as I walked over I slipped on all of the hair on the floor and injured my left knee which has already has a serious preexisting knee injury. I had immediate intense pain in my knee after sitting down. There was no assistance by the staff to assist me to get up, and I struggled to get up, there was no apologies from the staff who had not followed workplace safety guidelines required for all hairdressing salons. There was no incident report completed either while I was there or any assistance with first aid. As a former Clinical Nurse Specialist with 20 yrs experience in healthcare . I have to say the attitude of the staff was appalling and I have real concerns about this salon and in particular the owner, who witnessed the fall along with a salon full of people. I left to seek medical advice and all the owner said to me was - We have cameras???!!!!. Though I am well aware accidents do happen, the failure of the staff to comply with the legal requirements related to WH&S, as well as the attitudes of the staff was APALLING and DANGEROUS. I would like to warn all potential clients as well as current clients to be well aware of the practices of the staff and their attitudes. I will of course never return, and I implore their clients to consider doing the same.

Have been to Uppercuts many times. Have had most of the hairdressers cut my hair.Always very happy with their cutting. A friendly salon and I will be back for sure. Great prices too and a discount for seniors.
