A serene accommodation at an affordable cost. A holiday accommodation is for rest, refresh and start again not only on a new day but for the rest of the year. The serenity brought by the nature and the ecosanity environment and facilities brings the calm, relaxed and the true me in me and back to me.This is the only place I want to stay if ever I come back to Tasmania.

great place to stay if you're spending time bushwalking around Tasmania. the facilities (showers, full kitchen, laundry) are great, and Alana and Steve are friendly and helpful hosts. the abundance of wildlife on the property (mainly pademelons and wallabies) is a lovely experience. overall a great place to base yourself while exploring the south and east of Tasmania

Id give 6 stars if i could. Without a doubt the best place to stay if you're looking for a get away and a chance to exporence all that the area has to offer. Local wildlife, the friendliest owners, clean amenities and Hobart is just a short drive! Cabins were suitable for families or a group and plenty of space to pitch a tent. Can't wait to come back

Loved this place, if you are on an eco tourism trip or just want a tranquil camp site you really should visit. The owners were lovely and friendly and the feel of the place is peaceful and calm. Lots of local wildlife in a beautiful bush setting. Lovely clean camp kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry with little thoughtful touches here and there, including a very well planned recycling and bin area.

Great host - my and my friend’s families were accepted by the kind owner at New Year’s Eve at last minute. The owner, Steve, is very accommodating, helping us set up the tents at 11:00 PM, and also introduced us a list of things to do and to see around this area in the morning. Great environment - lots of wild animals , and the facilities are very clean.

Had a great time at the Base Camp! Stayed their for 1 1/2 Month because of work in Granton and will never regret it. It’s definitely the best place to stay in the Hobart area, when you want to feel connected to the nature and have some rest. Steve and Alana are great hosts, always helpful and take good care for this place.

Our stay here was amazing, Steve and Alana are incredible hosts. Kids had a ball, Very laid back environment, lots of local wildlife and couldn't give them any higher praise. Will definitely be back in the future.

Base Camp Tasmania exceeded all expectations! The serene surroundings, cozy accommodations, and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. The wildlife encounters were a highlight, especially feeding the adorable wallabies and pademelons. Highly recommended!
