What a lovely placeSkirted by boats, rocknreefLain out with decadenceThis place has brilliant hotels on the water to an international standard of 4 starsIf you feel like skydiving, going for a casual bike ride adventure, or a boating good time...This is the islandDue to it's short trip from the main land, 30 minutes, it is so accessible and affordableMindful that it is a heavy family zone, nice and cute, but can dictate your decision

Not the best in the middle of the day as there is not much shade and the beach is quite busy but definitely a must visit on Rottnest. When it's not too crowded, the location is stunning with lots of places to relax, snorkel or sit in

A must visit spot while at Rottnest island, easily accessed by bike, walking or bus. Usually a bit of a quieter beach at the island so it’s nice to stay here for the whole day.

Stunning! Only 10 mins on the bus from the main village. Saw a huge mantis ray, cute fishies and beautiful corals. Give yourself half an hour from here back to the main part though as it loops around the island. There aren't any life guards here so if you're not a strong swimmer better off snorkelling at The Basin.

Crowded beach area but the water is so beautiful at this spot. Rocky cliffs that you can walk on, the most beautiful water colour.

Rottnest is absolutely beautiful. I had the most amazing day cycling to all the beautiful beaches and bays.Lots to look at from lighthouses to barracks to beaches.Lots of bathroom facilities available all over the island. Will be back for more cycling and exploring.

My favorite snorkel spot on Rottnest Island. The water is crystal clear and calm. There is a self-guided snorkel tour with about a dozen plaques spread out through the bay. The plaques share facts about the local wildlife and what we can do to protect it. The pink and purple coral were beautiful!

Take the snorkel, gopro and paddle out into the protected inlet. Lots if fish and the occassional octopus to get up close to. Quite a popular destination; small beach but the bus stops at the beach.

Little Salmon Bay
One of my favourite spots to snorkel on the island. However it gets packed out with tourist who come by the bus load and fill up the small beach. But it’s totally worth it. Really enjoyed my time swimming and snorkelling. Also under each of the buoys there’s information about the reefs and fish underwater which I thought was a nice touch!
