Yarra Valley Grand Hotel
This is possibly the only time I’ve been unable to finish a parma. Granted it was absolutely ginormous and completely delicious so I made a valiant attempt.In terms of the venue there’s lots of different areas all of which seemed more aesthetic than the one we were seated in which was quite dark and dingy. Outside sitting either in the back or front of the venue would have been a superior option but I booked ahead unsure of the weather given it is Melbourne and so went for the safer choice. Impressive exterior and certainly embodies the name grand. Definitely worth a return visit

Had a beautiful Sunday experience here. Arrived at 2:59 pm with the kitchen, closing at 3 pm. (Not knowing) They hurried us to order food. How did great chicken parmigiana and steak. Highly recommend! Well priced food, generous servings, great staff and an affordable bottle of wine! Happy days :)

Yarra Valley Grand Hotel
It was a different experience at the Yara Valley Grand hotel. We took two rooms. One was the house, which was a communal place with e bedrooms , a huge hall and dining area. We also took Room 4, which was a three storey room with bedroom in the first, a small room with TV and books on the second and a drawing room in the third. The place oozes an old-world charm.We had several dishes for dinner, and all of it except for the steak and pizza tasted awesome. The steak was burnt, and the pizza tasted pretty funny.The house is a food choice for a large family or a group of friends and the rooms are for single or double occupancy.

Dropped in for a Sunday lunch and decided to on the roast of the day for a change. It was roast pork (with all the trimmings). And trimmings it had! The large cut of pork was generous, and the crackling was perfect. Apple sauce tasted a bit like a spicy apple turnover, but aside from that, it was delicious. All for a very reasonable $28.

Had a girls dinner out with other Mums months ago and Mother's Day dinner with my in-laws few days ago too. Food was great, don't have to wait long for our food to serve. Kids enjoyed the place as well.

Just come off a one night stay and we were really happy with the value for the room with breakfast included.The hotel accommodation itself is a bit old world for some, however they have pulled it off.Some off at parking, clean room and good size.The included breakfast was excellent.Ear plugs were in the room for your comfort so I would say some nights it could get very load downstairs.Only down side the mattress needs to be replaced - springs are very squeaky!

What a great night in this establishment. the staff were very friendly to an outsider from the bush.The matriarch Laura runs what i call an efficient ship.What ever she is payed is not enough.A great place to visit for a country boy ten out of ten.Respect old school service.

Loved everything about this tip top establishment. The decor was very vintage and super comfortable. Low lighting in the dinning area added to the atmosphere. The chap that seated us and took our order was marvellously friendly and a pleasure to chat with. Classic pub menu with a large sizes. I had the Parma & chips it was massive and very tasty, my partner had the half chicken it was huge and full of flavour. Also a Good selection of cold drinks & Beer on tap.Would highly recommend to anyone.

We've revisited several times over the last few years. Always a satisfactory experience and never a risky proposition to recommend as a place to meet up with friends. There's a great selection on the menu along with their additional chef specials. Food does not disappoint. Staff are friendly and there's a real authentic 'old pub' atomosphere.
