Bay City Plumbing are fantastic! Very prompt, arrived on time, professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble! And a great price to go with the great service! Definitely recommend these guys!!!

While I was happy with the tradesman and the apprentice who came out to give me a quote on a plumbing job, I was not satisfied with the bill I received from their employee. It was agreed that I would go ahead with the job however they would have to get some parts. I was surprised to be charged $52.50 per hour for the apprentice who had to drive into town to get some parts. The job only required one person and was not complicated. The owner of the business advised me that he had to pay the apprentice wages, tax and super. While this may be true, I should have been told an apprentice would be coming, and I would be charged for this. The apprentice rate of pay seemed somewhat expensive, and I have to ask the question isn't it up to the employee to pay some of this cost. I was also advised that the tradesman rates are based on Master Plumbing Guide, which again I suspect is somewhat more expensive than average. Finally, I was billed with a service fee of $30.00 for administration, car cost etc. It would appear that when you get a job done by this service, you are responsible for most of the business cost. The guys were actually hired by the vendor to investigate what I thought was possibly a moisture issue in a house I was looking at buying. They were awesome in providing information to BOTH of us, and extra information to me. This kind of service with a smile is almost unheard of these days, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Urgent blockage solved on time, and at reasonable price. Also found further issues that I did not think were fixable and they did..quickly and easily without charging like a wounded bull! Professional, friendly and on time. Best service ever from a big business.

My hot water system kicked the bucket and after a couple of days of cold showers I had enough tried calling other companies and nothing I called bay city plumbing people and the lady that answered the phone at the office was awesome tried to fit me in that day but no luck but next morning the bloke rang said he is only like 10min away and next thing bam he is here had old one out new one in didn’t even hear him I have dogs they didn’t even bother with him that’s how bloody good he was then next thing I know bam I’m having a nice steaming hot shower that is to bay cityTill next time guys keep up the awesome job and the toilet van going lol10/10

Asked for a quote for a pipe to be installed in our garden, was told the work would cost $3000. Decided to get a quote elsewhere & was told by another company the work would cost $600. We chose the cheaper option. Contacted Bay City Plumbing that we were going with a cheaper quote and were told that we would be charged $88 for not going ahead with their quote. At no point when booking the quote or when the plumber came out to give the quote were we told that we would be charged a fee for not going ahead with any work quoted for. Would never ask them again to quote or do work for us.

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐We've had Rob and his lads come out and do loads of plumbing work and repairs, including lots of storm water work this year.Bay City Plumbing HB has without question been the best plumbing company we've used in Hervey Bay and the bill was itemised and clear to read for every service that we've had them in for this year.
