Seriously insane food & massive bang for your buck.Their Vietnamese chicken/pork banh mi‘s are amazing at only $5.80This place is so worthy of 6 stars !Vietnamese food to perfection, as well as beautiful French croissants, GORGEOUS donuts & many other beautiful pastries.Everything is at 1990’s prices.The best bakery in Melbourne & I challenge you to tell me otherwise !!

The lady that served me at this bakery was very friendly! Great customer service with a smile. I ordered a pork roll with lots of salad" she didnt charge me extra for my request. Instead she filled the roll with lots of salad like I requested. I returned by bike 2 days later from reservoir and ordered the same. I was just as impressed with the service and it tasted delicious! Highly recommend this place if your walking down Sydney road and feel like a bite to eat! :)"

Rock solid Banh Mi and the best bread in Melbourne. The service from the staff is warm and welcoming! Just like their fantastic goods! Will return.

Banh mi is cheap compared to others around the same area, however taste is very average. The bread had a nice crispiness to it, but the filling was very light - a bit stingy on the butter, paté and meat.

Bought a loaf on Monday, by Tuesday it was mush. Completely unusable. Not good enough.Spoke to store owner & was basically told to f myself.

The Vietnamese Pork rolls are really good value and tasty, generous with pork. The Vietnamese ice coffee is beautiful and they are happy to make it as strong as you like.The Neenish Tarts are also really nice.The staff are very happy and welcoming to all customers.I would definitely recommend Barkly Hot Bread.

Their Vietnamese rolls are so good and cheap, the bread roll is incredible. Their hot cross buns and jam donuts are also delicious and an amazing price.
