Drummond Apex Lookout
It's is a very lovely and wonderful place in top of a hill...I often visit this place to enjoy he veiw of armidale from top..once I went 3am in the morning to veiw the lunar eclipse...this place is mostly busy...lots of cars to be seen and I wonder why some people don't get out of their car to see the beauty, I wonder what people gain by just staying in the car rather than enjoying the nature (watch bird, veiw armidale from top, relax and get some fresh air)...

Drummond Apex Lookout
This is a must visit in any visit to Armidale as you can see the magnificent panoramas of the city particularly in Autumn when we visited as the golden yellows brown and red pigments of the falling leaves grace the view! It relatively easy to find!Note that that the lookout is closed between 9 pm and 7 am! There is no toilets here

Visited April 2022. Entrance road was shut to cars, but open to pedestrians.The facilities lacked maintenance - overgrown grass, damaged trash cans, etc. It appears the lookout area may be undergoing maintenance in near future.View was quite nice. Big open area to overlook the town.

Reasonable walking distance to this lookout. Very quiet, nice expanse views of the whole town. On the intersection to the entrance, the views were even more incredible, especially during Autumn. Beautiful colours!

Should be visiting during the Autumn time would be a great time. It is allow people to observe the city of Armidale. The trees will allow people to have such great photos from the top.

A great place to view the city of Armidale. Plenty of parking spots. Located only a few minutes drive from the CBD. Highly recommend to go in a morning in mid of Autumn. It will create astonishing view with vivid colours of tree heads. Sadly I couldn't see much variant colours.

Cool spot with commanding views of Armidale. Great spot for a sunny day, and there's picnic tables to bring along some food (KFC, a local pie, or simply a coffee). Plenty of parking, and surrounded by trees hosting birds that will serenade you as you soak up the view
