Good Thai restaurant with very prompt service right at the entrance to Katoomba. The beef salad was excellent as was the Pad Si Eew with a serve of rice to soak up the sauces.

Clean restaurant. Nice decor. We dined in on a week night and had the place to ourselves. Lots of take away and deliveries though.Food was excellent. Proper Thai flavours. Good sized portions using quality ingredients. Only criticism is that the stir frys and curries were vegetable heavy. A little more meat in these dishes would have earned 5 stars.Would I dine at Thai Square again? Yes indeed. Lots more on the menu that we didn't get to try that looked tempting!

I have edited this review from 5 stars to 3. The original (5-star) review I wrote 2 years ago (see below). Now, two years later, after having ordered from Thai Square many times, we find that the food portions are smaller, the prices are much higher (i,.e. OVER-priced small portions), and the delivery time has grown to be ridiculously long. If I order a meal from the Katoomba Family Hotel, it often is delivered within 20 minutes or half an hour. Nowadays, ordering from Thai Square takes a good 2 hours, even if you order at 5:00 or shortly after. I hope they will hire more delivery drivers! Two hours is just way too long to wait. Okay, my original review from 2 years ago as follows:-----Just ordered takeaway from here for the first time. Delivery was super quick. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced. The only negative would be tiny spring rolls, but the flavour made up for that.

The panang curry was delicious! The chicken in the chicken cashew was not quite as good but overall very tasty. Generous portions, including the rice. Decor with the pink led lighting on the wall is not the nicest but also not terrible. Value for money was pretty good. We liked it!

My partner and I went here for dinner when we stayed in a hotel that’s close to it. We ordered the mixed entree, soft shell crab yellow curry and beef pad see ew. The mixed entree was good. The soft shell crab was spot on, very delicious! But the beef was quite chewy in the pad see ew. In fact many Thai restaurants will charge one/two dollars more if you want beef for the dish, but you don’t have to pay extra here. So in this case, we don’t mind paying a bit more instead of having chewy beef. Overall the staffs were friendly and attentive, the food was nice except the beef. So worth a try when you are in Katoomba.

To me it's the best Asian restaurant at Katoomba so far. Located just next to Katoomba station, the service and food both are great. The deco, the enviornment everything is perfect and I would definitely get back to Thai Square again. good jobs lads!

Absolutely delicious Yellow Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice. Service was quick and staff were very friendly. Not a licensed venue so BYO booze. Single diner friendly!

We were visiting the beautiful Blue Mountains and were in Katoomba, looking for a lovely Thai dinner. We saw this restaurant and thought we’d try it out. We were pleasantly surprised with the great flavours and super tasty food. I enjoyed the soft-shell crab with ginger sauce. I was blown away with the taste of the food here. This modest looking Restaurant has the flavours of Thai capitulated in a way like no other Thai Restaurant. The food is top value for money. It is not too salty or too watery as some Thai can be. It is definitely worth going back to again and again.

I have never given a one star review and i never write bad reviews of restaurants, if they are poor, i leave it to others to find out. But this restuarant needs to fix its act. From the moment i walked into the door it took 10 minutes and 3 separate waitresses who i told individually that i would like a table of 8. The three had asked me if i had been already served every single time before i got a confirmation. It then took another 30mins just to get the menu and table water and another 15mins to receive what we would like to order. The waitresses were NOT incompentent but rather the entire restaurant was disorganised.The food then took ANOTHER 40 MINS! The food was subpar and not at all impressive. The price is fair for the location, it's expected to be a bit higher in the Blue Mountains. When the food did arrive however, the dishes arrived 20mins within another! Because of this dysfunctional restaurant, it cost me a time poor evening in Katoomba. Absolutely unacceptable. If you have tourists or even locals, no one wants to sit in a restaurant without cutlery, table water or serviettes for 1.5 hours and then wait another 1 for food.I would highly recommend others frequent another establishment and 100% avoid Thai in Katoomba.
