Took time off work to come in for a pre-booked pink slip checkup, and when I arrived on the day it was closed. Didn't feel the need to tell customers (with set time/date appointments) that the place was closed due to COVID for the week.Edit: Added a star to my review because I understand how strict COVID laws are, however I still feel like this could have been easily avoided with so many ways to share information between work and home -- all it would've taken is a text. I hope you didn't lose too much business.

Don’t go to this mechanic.Was not quoted properly on work for my dad’s car. Was originally quoted $1k on parts. When the issue was described, $1k sounded expensive and when I questioned the quote I it ended up increasing to $3k including labour!I asked the owner to stop work until we decided what to do and not put back the work he did.I turned up to put back what he done and he’d done the work against my instructions. He then gave me an invoice for 3hrs work which was not mentioned or discussed.Unreasonable, charges people money to give quotes and overcharges on servicing!Be warned!

Honest and reliable mechanics. Father n law is a mechanic but is down south so stopped into these guys in a pinch. Didn't take the piss with pricing and was really easy to deal.with. highly recommend.

Lui is experienced and very competent. He will sort out your automotive needs and then some.

Amazing mechanics !! Could not recommend them more , really knows what they are doing ! Knows and loves cars. Will not screw you over either, very hard to find a mechanic like that.

It's hard to find a mechanic who a) knows his stuff and b) doesn't screw you over. But I think I just found one.I had an issue with my car which other mechanics couldn't find the root cause of. We thought there was no hope and I was already preparing myself for the financial hit associated with buying a new car.A friend recommended me to try Central Auto. As soon as the mechanic heard the sound the car was making, he immediately told me what the most likely cause is and how he can fix it. I asked to fix the issue, do a few service items I couldn't do myself, and also inspect the car and tell me what else may require service or replacement.4 hours later the car is ready, with all service items completed, no weird noise, a couple of other recommended things to service in the next year. All for a very reasonable price. I gave them plenty of opportunities to upsell stuff I didn't really need and they didn't take it. Looks like a tick for both a) and b) above!

Have used Elias and his team on several occasions. They are always available to assist and provide quality repairs at an affordable rate. If you’re in the upper north shore look no where else to service your vehicles !

Elias has been a great mechanic to deal with. Super knowledgeable regarding my cars and is very fair with pricing. Great experience here and very well recommended.

Very honest, friendly and fair prices. Always willing to take the time to explain the issue and what they did to fix it. I don't live in the area anymore but I'll always come back because of the level of service. Both my family and my partner use Central Auto Repairs, can't recommend enough.
