The Duke of Dural
The place was definitely clean and pleasant and the food was satisfactory. My husband ordered the t bone steak and it was very ordinary, didn't even include a salad and poorly presented. My schnitzel was okay, included a salad. The service desk could have been better positioned too especially for first time visitors.

The Duke is absolutely beautiful!! the atmosphere to the welcoming staff has that warm pub feel. It's the perfect place for dinner and drinks. The food is always on point here it's so relaxed it's like a home away from home when I come here to eat. It's no wonder The Duke Hotel won Hotel of the Year.

This place has been recently renovated and it's a great option for a good stake any day.Ate here several times, from family dinners to various get-togethers, so I got a chance to go through their menu and see various options.Apart from the Wagyu rump stake with 3 choices of sauce, the warm salads with or without meat protein are also a must to try. The calamari rings are some of the best I've ever had and always eat more than I need to when I visit The Duke. There is a section away from the bar / bistro area so you can easily take young ones with you. Check the website for specials, for trivia nights and it's a good idea to book especially at the end of the week. You can also book the big dining room that has a huge table and fits 10-12 people. The only regret you'll have is that you ate too much.

The food is good. Like really, really good. It's not cheap but welll worth it. A couple of good beers on tap. Riight now it's Voodoo Ranger and Fixation. Decent mix of families, young people and regulars. Decent vibe

Tucked away off Kenthurst Road this location a nice little surprise. The girl at reception was amazing in her service assisting us with our first time visit and verbally guiding us about The Duke. She also helped us with downloading an app that provides discounted meals other benefits. The Duke was comfortable in it's decor and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the 500gm sticky BBQ Wings and they were some of the best that we have had. The only reason for the 4 star rating and not 5 star is there is not an option for non-smoking outdoor eating or drinking. I am guessing they had to work with the location they had. Still despite this I highly recommend a visit to The Duke of Dural.

Let’s talk about what The Duke does well. It’s spotlessly clean with a really well stocked bar, a good cocktail list and really fast kitchen. Meals and booze are reasonably priced for the area and parking is decent. What it could have done better is more of the “around the edges” stuff with the food. The calamari was a decent size, not at all rubbery and had a great spicy batter but it looked pale and didn’t have a golden glow or crunch to the batter. The Duke burger had good flavour and was a decent size but was soggy (a lettuce leaf or fresh tomato slice might have helped add some crunch and texture). Clientele skews older like most of the Hills district. Bistro closes at 9pm on weekdays I’m told.

Nice food and atmosphere.. friendly and helpful staff. They didn't have kids meals on the menu which I found unusual for this type of place...

Very lovely steak (what sort of “pub” does Dry Age anyway?) - great crust, 21 day aged beef very tender, and lovely nutty flavour. Price while expensive is - touch under a steakhouse, but better cooked.Highly recommend trying if you can.

Perfect place to have a meal and watch the footy, cricket, have a punt on the races or play the pokies. Friendly staff and a great layout. I will say however, a pool table would complete this place and make it even better. Always look forward to an arvo beer at the duke.
