I have used this business twice now, once for an old Ford Ghia and just recently for my Ford Ranger. These are the type of people it's a pleasure to deal with, I don't know a great deal about automatic transmissions but they worked hard to keep me informed and help me understand what the problems were and potential solutions. Had to have significant work undertaken on the Ghia and it appears to be an electrical problem with the Ranger which I am getting seen to with an auto electrician. The Ghia runs perfectly now and overall the bill for the work was very fair. Strongly recommend this business.

We were having a few problems with our 200 series, went to find some help and came across this amazing family run business…in fact every one we dealt with was a family member. They were all so helpful and after all the scans were done we left with some sense of ease. These type of businesses are becoming rarer and rarer. Thank you… it was a pleasure. Excellent service and price. They fitted me in for an emergency repair after a large rock damaged the automatic gearbox pan and filter. Good communication throughout, repaired the damage and replaced filter and fluid, and finished up costing around the same as a standard service.

Big thanks to the team for getting us back on the road again in no time. Friendly customer service and knowledge was key. Another mechanic told us to replace the whole gearbox, but in fact it was just a blocked filter. We can now continue our travels thanks to the Gilroy's team. 5 stars!

The staff here are simply awesome, no other words for it. I took my BA Falcon there with selector cable issues and was quoted approx $180 for the repair and fluid top up. They found it wasn't the cable just bushes, repaired and topped up fluid all for $120 Labor inclusive. Honesty and fair trading earns a lot of respect and with that respect, sharing this story with all my friends to use this company when in need. Thanks Gilroy's Automatics

Very disappointed with Gilroys I had always used them & been very happy with the service but recently took a different car there for service & they said it was in need of repair & after thinking about it I asked for a quote three times & nobody’s ever got back to me.
