Coolum Library - Sunshine Coast Libraries

It's a relatively small library with a kids play area inside it, and no sound-proofing for it (I'm not sure why). So it can get a bit loud at times, though it doesn't really get crowded. Other than that, it can be quite pleasant, as it's got a seats area with a nice view to a green park next to the library and a good selection of books. The surroundings are relatively quiet. The air conditioner works. Free Wi-Fi is at 10 Mbps, which might be enough for some browsing and online work.

Love this library! I’ve been here a few times with bub for Rhyme Time & general hangout in the kids section with books/toys. I also have used the quite space & free desk areas to dock my laptop and study. Great facilities with power points & USB ports around the place. For those saying it’s noisy because of children - singing and talking are essential to children’s reading and writing development and this is what a library supports parents to do. I get more frustrated with the adults coming into the quite space making noise! It’s an open plan library which makes it hard but there are signs up around the quite space and adults should be more respectful. Printing from a USB stick was easy and cheap (20c per page I think). There is photocopy available as well. I also love that it’s always busy great to see the community using it. It will be even more nice when the upgrades to the park next door are finished. It would be good if they had an outdoor desk space closed hours if you wanted somewhere to dock in/charge.

I love it. The new borrowing and returning stations speed up these processes. There are more seats throughout the arrangement of shelves which helps those less physically able. Far more spacious since completion of renovations.

They run a childcare out of the library every single day. Where there aren't children running and screaming there will be an elderly person yelling down the phone. Great staff.

Another great library in Queensland. Well stocked junior section, some board games you can hire (a life saver for a wet day in caravan), friendly service and printing facilities

More like kindergarden than library (with some parents who do not have any idea on how to control their kids). But staff is very friendly though and lots of interesting books.

Amazing! My son and I had the best customer service from start to finish. They made us feel very welcome and extremely comfortable to ask for anything we needed. Time was spent helping us learn how to use the new systems. The advice we received on what books would be best was above and beyond. Thank you Coolum Library Staff!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Nice atmosphere. Easy to use borrowing kiosk. Good range of books.
