school is very focused on their football (fex) team and do not focus on much else. Spent 500,000 upgrading their Bathrooms in 2021 but could not spend that money on students education

pretty good education and teachers but the principal cares about more about the uniform policy's than their own students and very hard work that we have to do.

Not a great school at all, and this is coming from a senior with decent grades. This school kept lying about we care about your mental health" and then bashes on students for not completing their work/assessments even when they have clearly gave an appropriate reason. There are students

Teachers. Although many teacher are great the majority are awful. They are set unreasonable expectation putting much pressure on the student leading to both anxiety and depression. The school was already bad, then they implemented the lockers. they forced the students to not used their bags and instead satchels. These are poorly made, often break and put lots of pressure on just one shoulder, this lead to immense shoulder pain for many students. The uniforms are also poorly made. They are extremely hot and restricting leading to many students just sitting Aircons rooms and not getting excises. They are poorly made and often break as well as this they have high prices, making many family to only have one uniform.

The rules in this school are unnecessary and copy rules that you usually see in private schools, this school is not a private school and does not even look like one at all. We do stuff that does not affect our learning but we still get called out on it anyways which is really unfair. Most teachers care about is appearance other than our grades and will act like they care about our mental health and safety but then bash us for trying to tell them our concerns. Some teachers in this school are weirdos and should not even be in an environment with teenagers at all. A teacher is supposed to be a good 'role-model' for us but they instead treat us like absolute shet. You do not start swearing and calling students names because they are having a 'quiet' discussion about their work.

Corinda High School does have many good opportunities, such as the Agriculture, Music, Art and Dance programs, but the obnoxious rules ruin the school life. The principal cares more about how the school looks to parents and people outside the school than the welfare of the students, which results in overcomplicated strict rules that are useless. For example, the new implementation of lockers is very useful, but there are now about 3 pages of rules regarding this. We cannot have anything other than our lunchbox during break, so we have to go to our locker twice a break. The school is very vast and my locker is in the other side of it, so I loose about 10 minutes of my break, and I am sometimes late to class. The new rules micro-mange our lives, and does not give us the independence and responsibility a school should give us. The school should just give us the lockers and satchel, and let us use it as we wish.Additionally, the uniform is very uncomfortable and hot. The rules around the uniform are so strict and causes a lot of stress among students. The principal wants the school to be a private school but it is not and that will never change. In conclusion, unless you are coming to this school for a excellence program, it is not worth coming to CSHS.

this school cares more about uniform and rules things at this school is to over price. they take money from student to use it for things thats are not necessarily the most of the teachers are rude but some nice. when i was in grade 8 my phone got stolen and all the teacher does was telling me to call the police because it was a crime after all they just sit there and do nothing and i end up losing that phone forever .

This school cares more about their reputation than their students' actual education. Trying so hard to be a private school, they are so awfully strict with the uniform, that if a student has the slightest mistake in their uniform, they are to have an instant detention. They now added hats into their uniform, where students are also expected to wear them in every location, even in shady seating areas and the eating area in the top floor of the Research Innovation Center. If they do not wear a hat, even when walking to their next class which is just a few doors down, they are in big trouble. Since they also added the lockers this year, students are not permitted to wear their bags or use them anywhere in school time. Is that not a waste of $70+, just to not use them? The school already has a policy where you cannot use any bags other than the schoolbag, but now they don't even let you use that as well. Instead you must keep your schoolbag inside the locker at all times, which not secure at all, since the locks can easily be opened, and the yondrs and other personal belongings can easily be stolen. In fact many students lockers and locks have both been taken, and the school simply does not care, and instead makes you pay $20 for another lock. Since the students cannot use bags, they must wear cheap terrible quality satchels, which is basically a recycled woolies bag. After just 1 week of using them, my own satchel has tons of holes and rips. But now they do not even let us use our satchels, and expect us to keep everything inside our locker and just carry everything by hand. It is such an inconvenience especially to senior students as their classes are in different locations of the school, where they are expected to run marathons to and back to their lockers. If we don not follow these rules"
