Coles Meadow Springs in PerthVisited on 20/5/2022This is just another smaller, suburban Coles store. It looks a bit tired and due for a facelift.It does have most of the essential brands and products. The rack carrying the toilet tissue stock is empty, and customers are retricted to buy 1 box of facial tissue only.

Never fails to disappoint. Lack of open full service and poorly calibrated self serve scales. Given the fact there is a lack of full service lanes open, why then are the self service ones poorly calibrated? The scales usually accept my regular shopping bag, but not this time they all had to have an assistant support this, she advised, is because are only calibrated for the weight of a paper bag, another poor exp at this store! I don't have this problem at Woolworths stores

Things have changed since our last visit. We have to shop early in the mornings and always have a loaded trolley for the check out. Except there are NO checkouts open! This has been going on for some time. We have to do a circus balancing act at the tiny self check-out, bumping into other people trying to use the ones next to you. The self check-out I was using was malfunctioning and required an attendant to assist 3 times! If you innocently have a mis-read, you will be charged with shop-lifting won't you? So I gave up and quit. The service is appalling in this store. No-one seems to care now. If you are open at 8am, then why are there no checkouts for the big trolley loads. You have plenty of staff wandering around at that time. I am no longer shopping here and prefer to drive to Lakelands where they do care.
