Tourist and drop-in cafe and shop attached to famous Hydro Majestic hotel and its traditional restaurants.Extremely limited food offerings on Public holiday visit included a cardboard-tasting quiche and rubbery pie... sorry nothing else available.Coffee was also terrible but Gelato was excellent and generous serving. There appears to be a full kitchen so food service may be better on normal days. You queue and pay and get your food delivered immediately and they call your coffee number when ready.Budget priced.Atmosphere is great inside this barn filled with Eclectic displays of Hydro Majestic memorabilia and history... mixed up with a wide range of quality tourist and service products... from nooks and pictures to honey and homewares. Tables and chairs for dining scattered amongst the displays.Outside the views of the Megalong Valley are stunning and you could have your takeaway out there on the handful of chairs and barrel tables available. They could do a lot more with this place including more outdoor seating above the views in good weather... like during our visit. But it could be a pleasant drop-in if the pre-packaged food and coffee was improved.

Gift shop and surrounds including the view are divine!! However, the cafe is lacking on all fronts. Lots of little annoyances in the space of 5 minutes waiting to order:Unhelpful with a person's coeliac order, just a no that contains gluten" response to every desperate suggestion they made for a savoury lunch. PAINFUL.Did not clue on or ask if the same group are all takeaway orders

Love love love.. what a lovely find. This cafe is situated just next to Hydromajestic Hotel. We always drove past this place on our way to the Blue Mts and have never stopped by until last weekend. Gorgeous shop/Cafe. This is a great place to stop by for morning tea with so many things to see and buy.Highly recommended.

We stopped here for food and to take pictures. We had a beef and chicken curry pie. Both served slightly warm, and I would not recommend the chicken curry pie. The passion fruit cheesecake was overly sweet and would not recomme.

The location is the definition of a tourist attraction. It sells lots of trinkets and tacky items. The store is really quiet and not busy at all. The cafe looks professional with well dressed staff. The vibe is very nice but sitting inside, you don't get to look at the view. The staff were friendly and helpful but in general I feel like the whole location is a decent attraction but it's trying to be more prestigious than it actually is.The food is nice as well as the coffee.

Jan-22: pies are really nice, but the sausage roll is terrible. Coffees were good (we had regular size with extra shots of espresso). The vanilla lemon muffin is good (it has a gooey centre).Nov-20: I love the view in between the boiler house and the pavilion. It's worthwhile stopping for Both the views and the little shop here. The teas here are really nice (you can get LMDT teas from some IGAs in the lower north shore), and their house blend isn't too bad either. The food here is acceptable, but the tea and coffee (which is why you should stop here) along with the views are stunning. Lots of nice local goods.

the moment i entered, it felt like a haven. very nice rooms. good lighting, and lots of cool antique-like stuff. everything organised perfectly and not one thing out of place, even the bathrooms are clean. i ordered a meat pie and a hot chocolate, and to my surprise i didn't have to wait very long at all. they had very fast customer service, and the staff were very nice. lot of nice lollies as well, cakes and pastries in cafe looked yummy too.

Cool place. Looks expensive but is not, looks quality and is. Nice combination. You need to buy the vanilla lemon muffin and ask them to warm is. Amazing centre of lemon that we cont work out how they got in there. All sorts of things to look at and the scenery is exceptional. The service was good and the parking plentiful.
