I adopted our dog, Dre, from Merna in 2011. We absolutely adore Dre and couldn't imagine him not being part of our family. Upon first speaking with Merna, you can tell that she really cares for every animal that her team look after and that she also aims to make the adoption process as seamless as possible - fast forward to 2021, Merna still check's in on Dre which is amazing and incredibly kind. If you are looking to adopt, we would strongly recommend Merna and the Rockys K9 Rescue team.

I have recently had to try to rescue a dog in a very bad situation. Merna didn’t hesitate to help the dog when no one else would and thanks to her ,the dog now has a better chance of a happy life. I am very grateful for her help.Merna is very honest and cares for the wellbeing of animals above all else.She is indeed a voice for innocent animals who don’t have one. I can highly recommend Rockys K9 Rescue . Merna and team do an awesome job.

Our family was in the search for a rescue Dog to join our family. Within one search on a beautiful boy who was looking for a family to adore and spoil him, I received a call from Merna. The next day we were on our journey to meet our Beau and within an hour, we were back home. Merna was so kind with my partner and I. She explained the history and went to great lengths to ensure we were a good match for the well-being of Beau. The Rocky’s K9 team are incredible people who really want the very best for these pups to give them the best chance for the rest of their life! The time they spend to ask questions and to ensure the dogs needs come first when adopting shows how committed the team is and our family couldn’t be more thankful and grateful to Merna for her time to help us adopt our baby boy.

We arranged to rescue a kitten through Merna and her carer Tanya............we had the kitten for 3.5 days and the carer then suddenly decided that she wanted to take the kitten back as she missed him.......after......we had paid for the kitten and started to bond with him.Im disgusted and extremely hurt by the behaviour of both these ladies. We felt we were emotionally blackmailed to give the kitten back through text messages and one phone call.I will never use this service again and would never recommend Rocky's K9rescue.

I normally do not leave reviews but what Rocky's k9 did for a stray cat and her 3 kitten which i found infront of my home cannot go unmentioned. These people gave me all the help & support that I asked for and more. When I really did not know what to do and when all of the rescue were full. Not only that . They helped me find a beautiful home for this beautiful mama cat and her 3 kittens. I could never thank them enough .

An amazing team of genuine, compassionate and driven animal lovers. I helped out as a foster parent and had a great experience, and will continue to foster in future. I was vetted thoroughly by the team and felt supported each step of the way. If you are considering adopting or becoming a foster parent please consider Rockys K9 Rescue. I can only understand how hard it must be for people to surrender a much loved dog due to a change in personal circumstances - and conversely I will never, ever understand animal neglect, or cruelty. Luckily for the furbabies out there, in whatever condition they may be, Merna is there to rescue them, love them and find them a forever home. We adopted a beautiful dog from Rocky's - and the whole process was a dream. Merna is the most highly principled, empathetic and genuinely committed animal lover - I highly recommend and support Rocky's Canine Rescue and happy to see such good work being done in the world.

I recently adopted Molly the JUG jack russell / pug from Rockys K9 rescue. Adorable energetic girl who loves her morning runs at the beach. The staff at Rockys K 9 rescue are truly amazing people. Merna and her team are committed to finding the right fit for their rescue dogs. Merna has extensive knowledge of her dogs to ensure the next home they are going to will be their forever home. The 2 week trial that Merna has in place when you take your new dog home is a indication of how much Merna cares about where her dogs are rehomed.. She explained Mollys history and possible challenges that may need to be addressed. It takes time for everyone to adjust , you, and your new dog. In 2013 I adopted my first Rocky's dog, and then another, and then another - and by 2020, these are all the rocky's dogs I've had the absolute pleasure of letting into my heart. These rescue dogs make up my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Merna works incredibly hard to give these dogs a second chance, making sure they're a good fit for you and yours; going above and beyond.
