Launceston Little Athletics Centre

An enjoyable, easy and consistent way for the whole family to come down to the park and get active.At Little Athletics, children learn an array of athletic and collaborative skills, and importantly, the virtues of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and perserverence. They are taught to celebrate their personal growth and development (i.e. their PB's or 'personal best' records) as opposed to unhealthily compare themselves to others and/or aim for a mere rank or number. Instructors and parent/carers alike watch, guide and commend their children from the sidelines, as they learn and excel at the Olympic sports of long-jump, high-jump, shot put, discus, javelin, vortex, hurdles, and track racing.Moreover, participation in state championships are completely optional - up to the consent and comfort of the child and parent/carer(s).And finally, the staff and president of Little Athletics, are incredibly passionate, kind and diligent individuals who always have beautiful smiles on their faces and are forever glad to help out and answer questions. Each week they painstakingly set-up and pack-up the equipment and tools required for the program, which probably takes at least an hour both before and after the program.Thank-you Launceston Little Athletics for all your hard work, dedication, and support.
