Man this council needs to get their act together,They'd rather spend money on things Warrnambool doesn't need than spending money on things we do need such as more places to boost the tourism eg. A waterpark, drive through cinema etc. Also the council needs to do something about our roads, the more they leave the roads to form potholes, the more damage it's going to cause for vehicles and increase the chances of having a car accident. If you see this review and are a tourist, I advise you to be prepared for the bad roads!

Terry from the council indeed was helping me during my short visit to the airport. Great hospitality and such a humble person. Thank you Terry.

Warrnambool has Junkies in it's western suburbs who are offensive and obnoxious. Why Victoria police do not bother to pull over regular drug pushers who sell ice by walking from door to door is beyond me. Why do humans pay taxes. Why are psychiatric patients allowed to do what they want to do like be criminally insane and sell ice.

Rates are high, service is okay but similar to many other regional areas that cost less. Reports of at worst alleged corruption at best a culture of covering up corruption. Decisions seem to be made as if it’s the 1980’s and modern solutions tend to either be ignored(e.g holding an open tender for external council services run by the RSPCA) or embraced too readily(spending millions on digital parking meters that also charge fees on digital transactions which leads to people using them the same way as they did before)

We stayed 4 nights in a caravan park and found driving around Warrnambool to be a beautiful city. Plenty of things to see and do. Beautiful grassy areas around town which make you feel calm and welcome. The city is very tidy and clean and a credit to your community. The only thing I would suggest is more signage regarding paying for parking as we come from a free parking area.

Unfortunately I can't give you zero stars for your parking meters. Saving my registration number to your system so you can track my movement is an invasion of privacy. Also it took me longer to stand in line at the parking meter than it did to do my shopping. Such a bad idea. I also noticed the businesses that closed in liebig Street due to another one of your brilliant ideas to reduce the number of parking spaces.Edited..I have taken the emotional blurb from the end of this review. After having time to think about the issue at hand here I would like you to consider the ramifications of increasing the cost for rate payers to spend money in town. There are choices to shop away from the centre of town where there are no parking costs and I would like to know the statistics of people who now choose to shop elsewhere to avoid paying parking fees?Consider the customer who wants a loaf of bread or the paper. Papers are available from service stations and they are the first to run out every day. This tells me that the time and money required to deal with parking meters drives customers away from the CBD. Same goes for other staple daily purchases.

Because I can’t give no stars.Called to report a dog attack and the lady on the phone couldn’t careless. Told me because I didn’t get the rego of the car that nothing can be done, sorry I was trying to protect the dog and his owner. Even when I told her they are at the same place everyday, because she’s never heard of the road she can’t help. First it attack a horse and the rider then a dog on a lead. Hopefully for her sake it’s not a child next time. Shame on you!!

For a seaside/tourist hotspot in the southwest of the state you do not welcome rv tourists greynomads only one dump point for the whole town! If it wasn't for the very helpful gent in the tourist information centre I would never have found it . May take our dollars elsewhere where we are welcomed and also help the community.
