Great value, well cooked fish and chips. Potato cakes (or fritters as I call them) were amazingly good! Highly recommend.

Place has been great for years but we just ate it the food was so oily felt like you were drinking oil. Ended up being sick with bad stomach aches and felt like I was gonna spew. My throat also felt weird and couldn't move without feeling sick.

One of my treats driving home down the Calder at dinner time is to buy Fish 'n' Chips here..The oil is clean, chips good, fish good, friendly rapport, fast service. I like shopping here very much!

I've been going out for takeaway fish and chips for nearly 20 years and these are the best I've ever had. Brang back memories of having good ones in 2002 etc which haven't really had since till coming here just tonight. Absolutely amazing

We recently had a great feed of fish and chips from the Alder Street Fish & Chip shop. The night we were there Dean was busy taking customer orders and running the register while the rest of the team were doing their designated jobs too. It was like a well-oiled machine to see the crew in action on this busy night. We were very happy with our meals however the stand out for us was when we cut into the Flake it was a brilliant white. Some places the Flake is gray in colour and not very appetizing. Not the case here though. Well done!

What a great spot. Awesome chips. Great dim sims. $2 for a jar of chicken salt. Amazing service, friendly staff and golden fry on their seafood and chips.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with the quality of food served. The fish was so overcook and the chips majorly undercooked. Just a soggy bunch of chips that probably needed to be cooked for a few more minutes. Asked for chicken salt and I think they threw a few pieces from 10 feet away. I used to frequent this shop until I moved to the other side of town and it was always good but I'm not in any hurry to go back.
