I've worked with Coach Jo Wood for my 21K race in Istanbul Half Marathon. My experience coaching with Jo was a huge success! I could able to finish strong in my first half marathon race.She's been given me confidence and always encouraging during the ups and downs in the past 24 weeks of training. This is what a coach should do.I highly recommend Jo Wood to everyone who wants to reach their running goals, she's the complete package: focused, productive and supportive.

Jo has been the perfect coach for me! Returning to running from foot surgery, I wanted to be carefully managed and I also needed to introduce sessions of strength training. I have had my eye on the Queenstown Half Marathon and am happy to say Jo's guidance and constant encouragement has allowed me to run in this wonderful face. Jo's holistic approach to training has also reminded me of the importance of the right nutrition and hydration.

I would highly recommend Jo Wood as a running coach. I have been traning with Jo since May of this year to help me preparae to do my first 50km race. Jo developed an excellent training plan that allowed me to achieve my goal of completing the 50km race in sub 6 hours. Jo's programs are flexible and she is happy to adjust them to fit in with your other commitments. Jo provdies great feedback and her program also includes two weekly strength training classes designed for runners. This classes are very inclusive and are catered to all levels. This classes have really helped with my running allowing me to recover quickly and keep running.

I came to Jo looking for some structure and accountability in my training. Jo has given me that and so much more. Her individualised programs are relevant, based on data and updated regularly. At Tarawera last month I was ready and smashed my goals. Am enjoying my training working towards my next races and am constantly feeling like I can do more and be more than I ever thought possible. I had been casually trail running for a few years, however wanted to push my limits a little more and see what I could achieve. The timing was perfect, as that's when Jo and Aspire2 came along! Jo's wisdom and guidance are second-to-none. With her help, I was able to set clear race goals and work consistently towards them in a way which was sustainable. Training for an ultramarathon isn't easy, especially amidst many competing life priorities! I have now completed my first (solo, unsupported) 50K and look forward to many more to come. I have deeply appreciated Jo's coaching style: it is thoroughly evidence-based, motivating, yet compassionate and aware of my individual needs. I highly recommend Jo and Aspire2 if you are looking to take your running to the next level.

Jo coached me after recovering from hamstring tendenitis (2019) through to the successful completion of UTA50 in 2021. With a busy work schedule and family commitments, Jo was able to create a program that adapted to my unique needs, while keeping me honest to my own goals.Her holistic and personalised approach provided support, motivation and accountability for the ultra trail challenge, with well researched and applied training methods. The weekly strength training sessions also helped me build friendships and connections with like minded runners.I will continue to work with Jo as my coach for future challenges, as her coaching has helped me to perform better and achieve more than I ever could on my own. Jo Wood helped me achieve a lifetime goal of running a marathon. I am 47 year olds, and had not had a consistent running routine in over two years. I signed up for the Nagoya Women’s Marathon last October (Oct ’20) figuring I had 6 months to go from no running to running a marathon. After a couple weeks of me trying to follow a written program from the internet where I was basically pushing off my workouts to the next day and then not doing them that I realized I needed a running coach to be accountable to. Training Peaks matched me with Jo, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision for online coaching and her coaching specifically. She created a really accessible program for me to follow that helped me build my running week by week, helped me work thru issues I was having (especially with nutrition) and made changes to my program weekly according to how I was feeling / my progress. She was always available to answer my questions via e-mail at any time and our once monthly telephone call. In addition to all of that the thing that helped me the most was Jo’s positivity. Having positive feedback from her every week helped me so much. I was so over with the training in February (a month before my marathon) and was really dreading my runs and after expressing to her how I was feeling she turned it around and made a positive of it that helped me push thru the last couple weeks! I wouldn’t not have been able to accomplish this goal I have had for over a decade without her help and I can’t thank her enough!

I can’t thank Jo enough for her coaching and support. I recently completed my first full marathon with Jo as my coach. And I can honestly say I couldn’t have done it without her. Jo presents a wealth of knowledge throughout your weeks of training and is alway available to offer assistance. This was so valuable for someone who had never run a marathon. The mix of weekly strength sessions and running plans I felt extremely confident and well prepared for my marathon. I’m now looking forward to working with Jo as I plan for my next run at the end of the year. I highly recommend Jo and Aspire2 to anyone looking to improve their strength and running but also have fun whilst doing it.

Jo's coaching has been instrumental in assisting me complete my first 50K run back in November. A few months before the race I was struggling to find form and lacking the ability to complete the distances required. After chatting to Jo (who I knew from her awesome SnC classes) she recommended I reduce the volume and increase the quality of my runs. She implemented a super easy plan to follow that fit with my family, work and other sporting commitments....this enabled me to complete the GNW50 in November and now Jo is helping me towards my next challenge :)
