I have two children at John Colet school and both parents and children love it! It is a small, loving and caring school with a wonderful and dedicated staff. Going to school feels like visiting a family. The school is full of welcoming smiling people (children and adults!)The curriculum is diverse, rich and fantastic. The children get exposed to so much more than any school I know. Who wouldn't want their children to know and love Shakespeare from an early age?!I would highly recommend any parent looking at schools to call the school and visit. See the children and meet the staff for yourself and you will be as impressed as I have been.

As a father of two children who have attended John Colet School, I whole-heartedly recommend the school for anyone seeking a well-rounded education for their children in a nurturing environment. The school is small enough to provide individualised learning and support but also offers a lot of extra-curricular activities from chess and problem solving to school camps and public performances of Shakespeare. While its Naplan results testify it punches above its weight academically, I have been impressed with the personal development, emotional maturity and caring natures instilled in my children, giving them an excellent preparation - and a bit of a head start - for their years in high school and beyond.

My daughter was having a tough time fitting in at the local Public School and anxiety and stress became a real problem. It's been such a relief to see her blossom since she started at John Colet School. The school is very nurturing and also offers more opportunities for her to develop and be appreciated for her creative thinking and artistic expression.

As a parent with a child in the lower classes, I have mixed feelings about this school. While it excels academically, two major safety issues in the past six months have raised red flags. The school management seems to deflect responsibility, blaming others or even the children involved. This lack of accountability is concerning and undermines their commitment to student safety. While the academic performance is commendable, the recurring safety issues and the management's reluctance to take responsibility are significant concerns. Immediate action is needed to prioritize student safety and rebuild trust among parents.

JC is a fabulous school. The teaching staff are dedicated to teach the whole child (intellectual, emotional and spiritual) and that's what I think is so special. As well as the core curriculum both my children have been taught Sanskrit, the best in music, art and literature. I'm constantly amazed at what they can learn at such an early age. My son is learning a Bach cantata in choir for Speech Night, both my daughter and son have appreciated indigenous art as well as the famous Western artists like Turner, Klimt and Cezanne in their Art classes. Both also relish their annual Shakespeare plays that they perform as a class for the public. My husband and I think it is very fortunate that both of our children have been able to attend such a fine school.

The design of this school is indeed modern, i did a double take as it looked like an apartment block,The learner drivers come around here as well as the bus.the parents and children were friendly the only downer was the office admin were a tad unfriendly and clearly didn't approve of lollipop comming in through reception, they told her to use the side door.Awe poor Lollipop.

I have two children at John Colet and I can confidently say that it is an outstanding school. The teachers have nurtured and enhanced my children’s inner confidence and love of learning. In fact my eldest son, who was previously struggling academically and socially at another school, has gone from being told he was not a natural student to now, after years of being at John Colet, being accepted into a highly academic selective school. This is something I 100% credit John Colet for. The teachers and community have transformed him and brought out his best potential. My other son is also benefiting from John Colet’s fantastic education system and the nurturing environment... so I can see it is consistent for various personalities and capabilities.I should note that John Colet take a very different approach to most schools and it clearly shows in the students results and social confidence. I will always hold the school in high regard and will be forever appreciative for their care and attention to my children.

We only discovered JC when my daughter was in year 3, my son in year 5Both came out of JC as now in high school as scholars far from our wildest imagination. We owe everything to its teachers and the extraordinary curriculum especially the annual Shakepeare festival which set them up for High school English. My daughter had had no interest in academics but won full academic scholarships at the end of four years under one same amazing teacher Mrs Sjogren. We are forever grateful how she and JC shaped my children's character. My children are going back to JC tomorrow for philosophy workshop offered to alumni. It's an exceptional opportunity for them to grow emotionally and spiritually while enjoying catching up regularly with school friends. The only flaw JC might have is that sports is not as strong as other larger schools but we had no issues because both my kids played at local sporting clubs.

In retrospect, and analysing the current situation, choosing John Colet was the best thing I did. My child has only spent the last two years there, but even in such a short time, the effect was priceless, it was really worth it. The only thing I regret is that I didn't do it sooner. But It was definitely an investment.
