Dak-Wal Constructions

Disgusting! Both me and my father have had visits from dakwal construction. He's insurance is with combank mine GIO. We both received James as our inspector who did nothing but blame our 30+ year old ceilings for sagging. Not because of the 100L of water that came in our roofs overnight sitting on the ceiling destroying our carpet, walls and belongings and making the ceilings cave in. In my report he stated my roof was damaged, this is not the case the tiles are 4 years old and it was re sealed 4 years ago. He also lied to our faces before changing the inspection reports completely. We were both astonished, my father as a retired builder of 40 years and myself an experienced chippy of 10 years can't believe the level of deception and lies.James your a crook and a grub.Cancel your Gio insurance.Cancel your combank insurance immediately.

No stars for this company & no service from them!!! Our insurance company GIO used Dak-Wal for our repairs. We had to have a leak repaired in our roof before Dak-Wal could start repairs inside & sign a form from Dak-Wal when the roof was fixed. That form was posted the day after roof was repaired. Heard nothing from Dak-Wal, so I rang 10 days later & told the form had just turned up that day - rubbish it was posted a few suburbs away, she was too lazy to do her job & check the mail!!! GIO was told a week later that we hadn't repaired roof - TOTALLY INCOMPETENT STAFF. Would never recommend this company to anyone. They didn't do our repairs as they told GIO that we were taking a settlement OR GIO lied & told Dak-Wal that our claim was cancelled.

My experience with this company has been very positive. Initial contact with Lauren was great. She was very proud of Dak-Wal Construction & Lauren was friendly, efficient and very reassuring. Eric & his colleague were also very efficient in assessing the damage. They arrived on time & they were friendly, sequential in their assessment and very professional. I believe Dak-Wal is indeed fortunate to have these people on their team.

We recently suffered extensive storm damage. Our Insurer gave us the option of organising repairs ourselves or using one of their recommended Project Managers.Having some idea of the magnitude of the job finding,organising and coordinating the large number of trades required we elected to go with Dak-Wal as Project Manager.This turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made.Kayla was appointed as our “personal” contact and her exemplary and timely coordination of works left nothing to be desired.Her communication and friendly manner was just magnificent.We were kept up to date on what was planned and happening on a very regular basis. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed and solved immediately. Over the 3 month period of the repair we never once had to “chase up” any outstanding items.The Tradespeople who undertook the range of jobs were all professional in their respective fields and did a fantastic job, were easy to get along with, clean, tidy and happy to fit in with us.We would have absolutely no hesitation to highly recommend Dak-Wal to anyone that might require similar services and we would not hesitate to use their services again.They took all the stress and worry out of what could otherwise have been a fairly trying experience.Many thanks Dan-Wal

Vanessa co-ordinated the two trades to complete this repair and the efforts of all was most impressive.In three days the ceiling was removed and replaced, then plastered, sanded and painted.The insurance company has now deemed the repair and claim complete.

They underquoted our insurance job, didn't put everything on the contract stating we can do adjustments later. I questioned this and was told by them if I don't sign I will hold things up. Post signing they then did nothing for 3 months on site. Their communication was dismal. I remember one time ringing them and being told, don't you talk to your husband. We eventually found out via our insurance company they couldn't complete the job as there wouldn't be enough money. They agreed to break the contract at no cost to us. Here we are now 10 months after the bushfires unable to proceed for a while as we are going into a wet summer. Annoying thing is we originally told our insurance assessor we didn't want this mob as we read bad reviews. We were given no choice. My advice do anything you can not to get stuck with Dodgy-Wal Constructions.

Had to organise some insurance work for my Mother and Dak-Wal did the work. All aspects of the work were outstanding: great quality work, communication was brilliant, I was kept up to date regularly. I could not fault anything about the services provided.

They know what they are doing and left alone they certainly get the job done.Pretty well organised and efficient.Finished the whole 2 story house demolition in three days separating the asbestos from burnt rubble from metal materials. Cleaned/scraped site to hygienist satisfaction.Would recommend Aaron and his team.
