Good Hope Resort

I joined numerous family and friends for a long weekend break. Myself and another couple booked adjacent powered sites.The price was exorbitant given the very unkempt state of the sites. Deep holes were hidden by long grass. My uncle literally fell into my arms after stumbling in one hole. There were large rocks and bricks on my site that we had to move to enable me to reverse the van. I was accompanied by my two small dogs and had to pay an additional $120 for the privilege.I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere in the area.

First off, I haven't stayed here, so I can't speak for the amenities or accommodation. Just the service and prices we experienced.A friend and I used the boat ramp, for $40, just to use the boat ramp, nothing else. $30 for acess to the ramp for the day and an additional $10 for the additional person, they also wanted to charge an additional $15 for a tiny dog that went from the car to the boat and back to the car again, didn't even set foot on park grounds.When I arrived a little while after my friend, even though he had paid for me in advance to enter the park and they knew i was coming, I was not allowed to drive down to the ramp with my gear, I wasn't even allowed to walk down to the ramp, even though I had described his pink boat and they knew exactly who I was talking about, he had to park and tie up the boat and drive back up to get me.You would think the reasonable thing would be to open the gate for me considering I had already been paid for in advance and they knew I was coming.Neither of us will be returning..

We stayed for 3 nights, for my sons birthday being close to home and just wanted to get away. Photos showed pool, tennis court and just looked like a lovely place. We even went and brought cheap tennis rackets to have a play.When we got there and checked in the lady was so lovely, so we went in and unpacked. Took a walk and found Tennis court is now where dirt and a digger live, pool is disgusting. Kids where so disappointed the whole place is old and needs a good bloody clean.We did nothing at your park all weekend and the price is outrageous for such a disgusting place.

The camping part was great husband and 4 kids (3 x 15yr old and 1x 12) had a great time but beware of what is coming out of you account. 19yr old dropped out with partner to say hi and see the camp-site, were there 1/2 hours max took the 15yr olds into Yass to grab pizza and when the 15yr olds were dropped back. Older daughter just dropped didn't enter the park the owner came out and was like what are you doing here have you registered to enter etc and they had already been there 3 days, shows how much the hosts know who are there or are present to see who is in the park. When my husband got home I checked account and with out even mentioning to my husband took $50 for my daughter and boyfriend for entering to say Hi. Not staying for the day or even a meal just thought they would drive to say hi. Why not mention this to my husband. I new there was a day fee but didn't realise $50 to say hi. No one there when my husband arrived had prearranged for envelope with gate code to be left, code didn't work and apparently owners don't work on a Thur (middle of to long weekends nd school holidays) luckily there was another envelope and he got there code and it worked. Will not be going back as I feel they are after the money but without the service. I would in no way use the word HOSTS to describe then.

I am in my late 60's drove from Sydney and arrived at Good Hope Resort 11.10am mid week to pick up an older personI had no intention of using the fascilities or ride a jet skiThere was no mobile coverageI was not allowed entry unless I paid $30 to drive in or $15 to walk inI resorted to the bush telegraph from a paralell road much cheaperI have been to countless locations throughout Australia and never experienced this sh.t

We wont be coming back after years of coming to Good hope and previous season passes. We took a few car loads of our family for the day, expensive to get in as they charge for car, boat plus per person etc. Codes you get given for the day expire at 9pm. We got to the gate at 9:02pm, later than planned after an issue on the water. Our 3 car loads could not get out. The owners eventually came to help us at the office and instead of simply lifting the gate for us to exit and drive home they were trying to squeeze more money out of us as we had stayed over our allocated time. When they realised they realised they weren't getting anymore money they gave us a warning and lifted the gates. One of the cars alone had paid $80 for the day. They sure know how to lose customers. Save your money and go elsewhere

I've been coming here for years, and lately I don't simply the owner it rude, the place is so dirty, the cabins are dirty, anđ it has deteriated. .It needs full overhaul and owners or caretakers out of the place .asap.

Great place to camp. Is a little run down but I think they are starting to get on top of it.

Went for a day trip and had planned the use the BBQs yet they weren’t working and were filthy. Lucky I had a portable stove and pan, or we wouldn’t have had anything for lunch. Disappointing given we paid $60 for the day.

Great camping spot for a quick get away fix.I’d love to give. A higher rating but there was a concerning amount of rubbish in the entry way if the boat ramps that could injure someone.Also the price though it was a public holiday seemed to be pretty high.Overall campsite had lots of shade and probably the cleanest bathroom and showers I’ve seen in a long time
