This looks great just sitting upright like this. I took a photo from the side looks even more narrow placed. Other beautiful rocks around too. 200m walk from the carport. Dirt road for 1klm in.?

A truly awe inspiring place. Well worth the 2.5 hour trip to get there from Cairns there is so much to see and do out there, that you will need more than one day. From the caves to the rock art and other things to see you're going to have to stay overnight. I can recommend the Cockatoo hotel motel. The rooms are good and reasonably priced .There are two pubs in chillagoe one on the main st, called the postoffice hotel"

Balancing Rock
Located right beside donnas cave, this impressive rock balancing is worth the short walk. Walking conditions means anyone could make the small hike up and back. Worth the day trip out from cairns

Great little walk to the rock and back. Wonderfully maintained by the park rangers. Keep an eye out for butterflies near the rock art!
