The Argent Motel Broken Hill

We stayed here last week on a last minute call to book an accommodation. We managed to get a room and they were dog friendly. Our dog slept in her crate by the bed. Very clean room, quiet and spacious. There was a dog park not far away which was a bonus, as we were travelling from Brisbane to Perth.

There was a plant growing out of my air conditioner unit. Basic, mostly clean thankfully quiet. If you need assistance the staffing could leave a bit to be desired.

Decent Motel at the city centre. Good value for your money. Spacious rooms with all the essentials. I like the easy self check-In 24/7 feature.

A good place to stay when passing through Broken Hill. Comfortable and clean although don't expect much it is dated. It did have a daily top up of water etc. I would recommend it but just expect it isn't modern by any means. Also be prepared for a auto check in machine, no human only on the phone if you need help. We booked through Agoda which meant we had to call. But it worked out ok.

Signature foam beds. Super clean, great shower head, spacious room to sort bags from travelling. We had a queen bed and a single bed), crisp white sheets, microwave, toaster, breakfast bowls and bread plates provided. Large TV. The best accommodation - felt like an oasis. Rooms were so comfortable after travelling. Also very quiet at night for a good nights rest. Thank you for your friendly service.

Decent enough for an overnight stay. It has what you need. Dog friendly room seemed a bit dated compared to other rooms. Couple of issues- flys and mozzies seemed to getting in constantly despite everything closed. Realised in the morning it was because there was a large gap under the door (other rooms had something covering the gap). Also the hot water tap in the shower if on, drips onto the cold tap, scolding your hand to switch it off, had to bunch up the shower curtain in my hand to turn it off. Also wifi didn't work in our room.

Good sized room, more space than normal for luggage etc. Hot water great. Microwave, crockery, cutlery all provided. Queen bed comfortable and it’s a nice quiet spot just across from information centre and yummy bakery. Clean and tidy. Wifi didn’t work but they were trying to fix it.

This hotel is quite unique in that it's checkin process is via you inputting your phone number and #, and you room key is dispensed into a collection tray. The rooms are airconditioned making your arrival more comfortable.Whilst the hotel has been around a long time, it has been refurbished and the aircon, shower are modern. A large flat screen tv makes watching the telly comfotable rather than squinting your eyes with other motels who may have smaller tvs'.Lastly its location to town is great and you can walk to town for meals at the local pub or demo centre. For the ladies, the democ club provides an excellent array of pokies, which is the subject of another review.All, in a great place to stay, go out, have a few beers without worry of driving back.

Lovely affordable accommodation within Broken Hill. Room was presented beautifully and I loved the presentation of the towels and toiletries on the bed. Additional pillows and blanket available if required. Very helpful in being able to obtain the key to your room anytime of the day.

I love this place for the big rooms with table and comfy chairs, the big shower with great shower head, the fantastic, friendly staff, the cold air-conditioning, the quiet rooms and lastly for the price. The decor is a bit 1990s but that's the only downside (if you can call it that). I highly recommend The Argent and I'll be staying here again on my way through Broken Hill again soon.
