Maui

A great way to travel around Tasmania!Very easy to drive considering the size of the vehicle. Plenty of power in the uphill and all in all a pretty comfortable journey, although we did have to buy a mattress topper as the sleep on the rear bed of our 6 berth Maui was pretty tough on our backs. Water pump was very very noisy though, not sure if they are all like that but it made you reluctant to flush the toilet at night or run the water too early in the morning so as not to awaken other nearby campers.Although they recommend plugging in to power every 2nd night, if you’re careful you can go without power for much longer. Especially if driving a bit between stops, but also if the days are sunny. The biggest restriction took on longer term free camping is water - you need to refill every couple of days really, but there are plenty of free water spots around tassie so grab WikiCamps to find them and the many great free and paid campsites and go travelling in a Maui!

Could not have asked for a better camper van rental and experience. Customer service was excellent from the minute we arrived through to the return. The van itself came with everything (and more) needed for a trip around Tasmania. Would recommend and will definitely use this company on future travels. Thanks Maui!

Great fun and easy driving to and walking in national parks. Fab holiday.

It was easy transition through the Hobart Airport. The vehicle was very nice and clean. I did not have any issues with the operation of vehicle. I recommend this place to hire a vehicle. staffs are friendly. we enjoyed the travelling through tha Tasmania. it was a quiet a experience for us.

We would just like to say a big thank you to Maui Hobart. We have had a great time cruising around Tasmania for the past 10 days. We received a complimentary upgrade from the camper we had booked to a motor home, and it was very comfortable.

This was a surprise upgrade, from Hi Ace to a Mercedes’ Sprinter.This was fantastic, apprehensive at first due to size but after a short time was comfortable handling it on Tassie roads. Power an economy were great for this size vehicle.Thanks to the local Hobart Mighty staff pick up an return was simple an quick. A bonus at pickup is the available range of condiments/consumables passed in by previous travellers.Very comfyIan

Driving across tasmania in our Maui van was a fantastic experience. Secure and cozy little trip.Great driving super smooth and easy to manoeuvre around winding roads up in the tassie hills.Staff were super helpful definitely recommend renting for your next holiday!

We hired two campervans for a trip up the east coast of Tasmania. The campervans were pretty good value overall for the price. Some minor annoyances such as:- a leaky sink meant we couldn't use the sink at all because it leaked into the drawers below.- some buttons falling off drawers, just a minor hindrance- the wiper blades were totally ineffective , just smeared water across the windscreenThat said they were comfortable enough & no mechanical problems at all. Lots of fun and good value !

Extremely happy with the 3 birth vehicle we used to travel around Tassie in. Very comfortable and easy to use. Exceptional service also provided by Maui at Hobart. We will be back.Regards, Ali & Dave
