ABSOLUTELY DISGUISTING WARNING!!! FOUND A BANDAID AND FINGER NAIL IN OUR FOOD DURING DINNNER.... the guy said he'll talk to the kitchen staff and all they did was replace the dish.. my grandma was throwing up all night and had to go to hospital absoltely disguisting dirty place

RIP OFF -SUPER EXPENSIVE FOR BLAND TASTLESS TINY BIT OF MEAT AND A WHOLE LOT OF VEGGIES....Went with a family of 4 after a long day of shopping, movies and kids activites and were all super hungry, paid almost $60 for some chicken, pork and beef dishes. To our surprise when the dishes came it was 85% veggies and the TINIEST BIT OF THINNLY SLICED MEAT (at around $20 per dish for mostly veggies!!!) and was told to order more food" if we were still hungry. The tiny bit of meat that was served was bland and tasteless and the staff were extremely rude and suggested we go somewhere else if we arent happy. VERY VERY RUDE STAFF and if you like paying almost $20 for veggies and tiny bit of meat and rude staff this is the place to go!Will definetly not be coming back. much better asian restaurants in the area such as dragon phoenix"

Being going to Tong Lok for years. Great food and friendly service. Highly recommend the Fried Wasabi Prawns, its our must have for my family and I when we go there to eat.

Tong Lok Chinese Restaurant
Took my son for dinner and had some delicious fresh food. We were served by a kind friendly family who really took care of us. They have have a steady local trade of takeaways but the food came very quickly. The spicy salt and pepper chicken was perfectly cooked, very tender. Deep fried ice creams were a definite hit. We will definitely come back and try some other dishes!

Local Chinese restaurant with good range of Chinese food. Super busy during peak time. Be prepared to wait for 20mins to get your food ready but the food was yummy and hot.

Amazing food, service was quick, friendly and staff were lovely. Atmosphere was great, bustling, lots of laughter from tables just a wonderful experience all round. Highly recommend to everyone.

Tong Lok Chinese Restaurant
A cosy restaurant with authentic Cantonese cuisine, fresh and delicious dishes, friendly services and quick kitchen! Everything is fantastic except we were unlucky that a couple of the big tables were extremely loud and absolutely inconsiderate, jumping up and down drinking and yelling out to one another, made it like they own the restaurant! It was extremely noisy but there's nothing much the restaurant staff could do.

Hidden treasure in Ashburton. Ordered online and 20 mins later ready for pickup. Starters of Spring Rolls, Wontons and Dim Sims were all great. Main of Chicken Kung Pao with cashew nuts and Fried Rice were also top shelf. Fresh and hot. Family run and owned. BYO if you dine in. Recommended.
