So after wasting 1 hour of my wife's time in waiting room she was told she had to book in with a nurse for the nurse to then tell her to wait another 30mins so she left, the nurse called a few days later with a rude attitude asking to book in an appointment and because my wife wasn't home and I said she will call back she goes okkkkkay no wonder it's a 1 star only because you can't zero...

I had a very upsetting experience. I was told by a healthline nurse to go to the GP within 12 hours due to my symptoms. I wanted to avoid the hospital because of long waiting times and I was feeling terrible. I had hemoptysis and acute high BP and felt feint. I approached the receptionist and softly told her I was a walk-in and knew it was appointment only, but that I needed to see a doctor. She looked at me shocked and declared loudly, Well

Hello, I’ve been reading all of the horror stories from this clinic, and because I physically haven’t been there , I’m reading a lot of similarities to that of Sydney west. All clinics would have a practice manager as well as a senior practice doctor. I’m wondering if anyone has actually ask to speak to the practice manager and or the senior practice doctor? I hope and pray that what I’ve read has been resolved by going to a GP clinic or centre that has dealt with your medical problems professionally and empathy. We heard a lot of horror stories, even before we called Tasmania home, and trust me when I tell you this, there are professional and caring staff in and around Burnie. And I also want to take note of the medical receptionists, as having over 12 years experience in administration, it seems that a lot of clinics needs a massive overhaul. Patients and medical issues should take priority over the ego of a lot of medical staff I’ve seen here, and we’ve only been here since late March.

Dr. Ruhidas insulted me terribly, I've never been treated so rudely. He said I was coming in for something free and would just keep coming in for this and for that. I told him that I had no intention of doing so. I came in because I badly needed a physio and live on an age pension so cannot pay for the care I need. He insisted I first bring all my medical records to him. He didn't examine me, he didn't look at the form I filled in. I told him I could have a hospital in Victoria send the x-rays taken 5 years ago for a broken tailbone, but that was not good enough. He wanted all my medical records. But the only medical records that exist are from 20 years ago in another country. It might be impossible to track down past doctors. I asked how he is certain I will just keep coming back for free stuff. He told me the only way he can know for sure is to see all my past history and asked me how else he could know. I told him he could just trust me. He refused. I am an Australian citizen and have retired from the field of IT where I have 20 years of excellent references from Commonwealth Bank, ING, Qantas, Virgin Airlines and large government organisations such as: Department of Environment and Resource Management QLD, Emergency Management Victoria, and Attorney-General’s Department, NSW. I was appalled to have him treat me like I was a criminal. His manner was rude the entire time. I've never been treated so badly by a doctor.

The old woman at the reception was very rude. My little boy was desperate for toilet and we happened to shop at the chemist. She growled at us and saying there was a public toilet down the road that we could use. If it was not for the little boy so desperate we would not ask for it. You can keep the toilet!

Had a very disappointing experience with Reception who would not even try to see us as we were from mainland and only had NSW doctor references. She said that only Tasmanian doctor scripts would be recognised. She advised we would not be able to get our NSW scripts filled at any chemist. This was plainly untrue as we walked out to the chemist in front and had the script filled. Went elsewhere for injection with no hassles. Would not take a sick puppy to this practice.

I've never had an issue with the doctors, but every time I interact with the receptionists or nurses they are just plain rude. Working in health myself I'm always very polite and respectful to the staff knowing they have a difficult job but they are always rude back and there's just no reason for it. I've moved myself and my family to a different practice.

Don't take any notice of negative reviews. Generally people will leave a negative review, but when a good experience is had, no review is posted, that's human nature. And people need to remember it is a GP clinic, not an emergency department, all appointments need to be booked, walk-ins for routine conditions is not urgent so there is no reason why you should jump the queue ahead of people who booked and are waiting. As a long serving emergency care Paramedic myself I've seen many many people who think their issue is urgent, but it is far from it, and an ambulance is not required. GP's similar, if you walk in with chest pain you will be seen, but if you walk in with a sore finger you won't be seen ahead of other people. Many times as a Paramedic I got sent to someone for example had tooth ache" or "sore elbow for 3 days" ... totally inappropriate to call an emergency ambulance for as while dealing with this nonsense someone with chest pain isn't getting an ambulance. Needless to say
