I've been coming to Hardware Lane Barber for five years now, and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. The team here is incredibly skilled and always takes the time to listen to what I want. Plus, the atmosphere is top-notch - it's always a pleasure to sit down and chat with the friendly staff while getting my hair cut. I can't recommend this barber shop enough!

Always come here for my haircut, the team are always nice and it's the only place I'll go other than the British lads in St Kilda. This barber can be busy, but that's a good sign right. The team here always do a scissors cur for me, in the past, I've gone other places and they just want to buzz cut my head and I'm not paying $40 for a buzz cut. I appreciate the skill of a good scissors cut and you know what, last time I offered a tip and they refused, telling me to put it towards my rib operation. Absolute legends here. One of the nicest teams in the city.

I come here for a face shave every time I'm in Melbourne. They are friendly, professional and comparatively inexpensive. It's also surrounded by cafes and restaurants so that's a bonus too.

That's it, that's the whole thing.I was so anxious about getting to a barber for the first time, but they were amazingIf you don't know what length you want on the sides, they make some suggestions, and do some test spots until you're happyIt's a walk-in place, you walk in and sit and wait for the next available chairTheir staff are so lovely and I highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone wanting a men's haircutThey don't care about your gender they care that you want a men's style hair cut. That's it.I highly recommend it, it was an extremely gender affirming experience for me

I'm on vacation in Melbourne from the States. Popped in here for a cut and was very happy with the results. The barber was patient and did a fantastic job. I would come back in a heartbeat if Melbourne was my place of residence.

Has a Buzzcut, beard trim and shave from Kate. Great service, good cut, attentive. VERY reasonably priced for Melbourne CBD. Walk ins available so worth checking out if you’re feeling a bit scruffy and need to fix up for the weekend.
