Everyone at Rachel’s custom sewing was so pleasant and helpful. The service was very prompt, dropped in my pants off on Monday afternoon and had them back by Thursday. They did such a good job on my pants alteration, couldn’t have asked for anything better.

The girls did a great job in altering and adding to my wedding dress. They always listened and gave great advise and opinions on the dress it's self. The alterations are perfect and pretty reasonable price. I got along with the girls very well and they were extremely kind and communicated wellThe only down fall would be the fact that many children in her home were running around near my dress, eating dinner near my dress and or touching it after eating and there wasn't kind of a discussion had with me before hand or accountability for the appropriateness of the situation. Especially with my dress being white provided some anxiousness. I did mention this when picking up my dress today and just suggest a heads up next time please or to avoid food around or utilising the lovely space at Uniplaza for bridal consults? For a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for a bride to be.

I cannot recommend Rachel’s Custom Sewing enough! I contacted Rachel a week out from my wedding as I just wasn’t happy with my wedding dress bustle. I’d been told that what I had was the only option but Rachel proved that wrong. She gave me 3 different options and then worked her magic! She even fixed one of my straps as well! Rachel was able to take my very long train and completely bustle it under the dress so it looked like I had a floor length gown all along. This meant I could dance and move freely without fear of tripping over my dress.I would not hesitate to take any alterations to Rachel and her lovely team. You won’t be disappointed!!

Rachel’s Custom Sewing are amazing and would definitely recommend them for all of your sewing and alteration needs. Couldn’t be happier with the service provided from start to finish with the alterations made to my daughter’s formal gown. Rachel was only too happy to go the extra mile, making matching bow ties so all of our family pets could be included in the photos.

Rachel’s custom swewing team is so professional and just perfect. I was a little worried about to adjusting part of waist, because the waist part was needed pretty much size to adjust. However what an amazing Mararet have done it so perfectly!!!! This is very impressive experience for me who had a first time to adjust my clothing in Australia ever. Rachel has done terrific with her home business! She makes it easy and convenient in my busy life to drop off and pick up the clothing. She provides great service with wifi and refreshment station. She was also very flexible with a misunderstanding on my part and responds in a timely manner. Highly recommend!!

Rachel is a very talented and reliable seamstress. She did a wonderful job altering my sample sale wedding dress. I needed it cleaned, hemmed, taken in at the back with extra applique in certain areas. She also designed clever bustles to suit my dress and helped me work in my budget. My whole wedding dress alteration journey with Rachel Custom Sewing was stressful, disappointing and upsetting . Being a return customer I felt comfortable in relying on Rachel to alter my wedding dress however this couldn’t be further from reality.I booked my appointment last August once I bought my wedding dress, so RCS had plenty of notice.The first initial appointment was fine, all I needed was waist bought in, cups added and bustle. Pretty simple. A few weeks went by and I hadn’t heard anything so I reached out to see when I could book my next appointment. This appointment went well, dress fit well and I left feeling confident and happy with the fit of my dress. She tells me at this appt I will be able to pick up my dress within the next two weeks as all they need to do is sew in the zip.More weeks pass and I hear nothing. Once again I have to message her to see when I can book an appt to pick up my dress. The day arrives that I am set to pick up my dress and I receive a message that morning saying that she hasn’t finished my dress and can we change the appt time. This is when I start to stress as how is my dress not finished at this point, you are messaging me the day off. This is when I felt like my dress was rushed and was being worked on at the last minute with no care, or attention to detail. I delay the appt to that afternoon and arrive to her still sewing my dress. I sit there for 45 mins waiting for her to finish my dress. When I try it on, it does not fit correctly and I ask her to adjust the back. She says she will have it done within two days. I notice that day while looking at photos that when she has put the back of the dress back together she has sewn the buttons on the wrong side and part of the detail of the back of my dress is missing not to mention the zip not being sewn in securely. I question her on all this and she says she will amend. I am highly anxious and stressed by this point as this shows that she was rushing my dress and not showing any attention to detail.Come Friday the dress still doesn’t fit well, and the back zip is once again not sewed in securely. This appointment was an absolute disaster with Rachel’s kids running around climbing cupboards around me and even opened the curtain whilst I was trying to get into my dress. I can’t explain how overwhelming this whole experience was being a week out from my wedding.I walked out in tears and didn’t know what the condition of my dress would be or when I would be collecting it.Come Monday I went and collected my dress, my dress at this point, fit a lot better and the zip was sewn in securely however looked absolutely ridiculous when you looked at it closely.Come wedding day however my bustle only lasted one hour before it all fell under the weight of my train. My bridesmaids were able to safety pin it twice however this was only a temporary fix that lasted for my first dance for the rest of the night I had to carry my train around causing my dress to become filthy whilst dancing. It was an absolute waste of money to get a bustle added seeing as it hardly did the job that it was required to do.All and all the whole experience with RCS was underwhelming, disappointing and extremely upsetting.I am still trying to get a refund from Rachel for a part of the invoice that she quoted me but never actioned, she told me she would refund me this money and to this day the refund has not been actioned.It is extremely disappointing to write this review as my first experience with Rachel was the complete opposite when she altered a bridemaid dress for me.I got the feeling that she is stretching herself far to thin and taking on too many alterations which then leads to terrible individual service as she is just trying to rush too many dresses out the door each day.

Went to RCS for urgent formal dress alterations. The service was Good, especially for a bit of a last-minute dress, except they clearly took some shortcuts. Got my dress to them a month before my event, got it back two days before. My dress had a symmetrical pattern on the cups, and in altering it, one of the patterns was put back incorrectly, which ruined the symmetry of the dress. When the waistline was brought up it hadn’t been attached to the top properly and was hanging quite low. Good service and overall a good experience with a lovely team, just slightly disappointing details.

Amazing service, Rachel squeezed me in last minute to fix my wedding dress and was so lovely when I was stressed. The dress turned out perfectly. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
