1825 Interiors - Furniture Store Fyshwick

I recently purchased 2 kitchen chairs from 1825 Interiors, Fyshwick. I could not be happier with my purchase. Although the ‘Hampton look’ is not my preferred style (I like modern, edgy) they look stunning! I am gearing up to sell my apartment but lacked the $$ to hire/buy a lot of furniture. Also, very reluctant to engage a stylist (more $$$$).I could not have received better customer service from Suzy (and Lou - qualified home decorator). We tried various chairs & I settled on 2. I received such good advice about styling that when ready to go to market I will engage 1825 Interiors for a last minute makeover - at a very, very reasonable cost. Thank you Suzy & Lou for your help.

Always a pleasure to shop with 1825. I furnished almost my whole home with the team at Wetherill park and Canberra. Everything went so smoothly from purchase to delivery. Other family members have also had similar great experience of their ever accommodating staff. Their customer service is unmatched! I even bought furniture that was recommended without viewing it in person! Would give more stars if I could! (Also check out the Wetherill park store).

Super mixed (and long; apologies) reviewI really do try to refrain from giving negative reviews as I know it can reflect poorly on a business but I do believe in giving honest and, hopefully constructive feedback.My husband and I were lounge shopping on 21 June 2020 and we fell in love with a lounge at the Fyshwick 1825 interiors store. The lady (won’t name names) helping us was very polite and professional in store, she went away to check the availability, came back to us and said “you’re in luck, there is stock available”. She continued to explain it would come in the next shipment and we would have the lounge within a week or two. Perfect!In store, the lounge had a discounted price on the tag (in our price range) but when the information was written down for us, a couple of extra hundred dollars had been added, which was now outside the price we were looking to spend. I thought this may have been for postage so confirmed but she explained the sale had ended. We said we would have to have a think about it and left the store. The lady came out after us and said we could have it for the discounted price if we purchased before COB that day. We looked around at other stores but had our hearts set on the 1825 lounge. We went back in and made the payment in full and I again confirmed the lounge was in stock and we would have it in a week or two.Almost two weeks later, I called the Fyshwick store to follow up and it was then I was told the lounge would not be delivered until mid-late August (informed on 21 August it won’t expect it to be delivered until early September) As you can imagine, I was less than impressed, especially since we had sold our lounge within this time to make room for the new lounge. I asked to speak with the lady who completed the transaction. I tried to explain the situation and I was spoken over many times and was told my husband and I misunderstood, which did not help my mood and I certainly could have handled myself better. I felt absolutely no responsibility was taken that there may have been a miscommunication on their end and even a simple apology or any empathy would have likely diffused the situation. I was told, they would call the warehouse and call me back.I received a call back and on answering (as I had cooled down a bit) I apologised and just explained my disappointment. I was told something along the lines that she was training (or perhaps being trained) at the time of the transaction, although no training seemed to be taking place at the time and again that we must have misunderstood so it seemed responsibility was just being pushed onto anyone else.I held off writing this review as I wanted it to be level headed. We are likely still about a month off getting the lounge but are still super excited to receive it. I LOVE the furniture and although I would be reluctant, if we were to purchase from here again, I hope our experience would be more positive.

We could not find what we were after but the lovely lady with short hairs was such a nice lady. 10/10 for the customer service and knowledge of the furniture. One of the best person we met during our furniture shopping in Fyshwick area.

The store makes very nice furniture, however the time it takes to deliver stock is ridiculous if it's not in store.We originally were told 5 weeks, which wasn't great, but acceptable. Then a day before it was meant to be delivered, I call for an update and was told it'll be another 3 weeks, assuming it arrives at all...Edit: The furniture arrived (took almost 3 months in the end) and admittedly it was even more beautiful than I expected. Whilst I'd really caution you to only order items that are in stock, the quality is exceptional hence why I'll tweak my review from 2 to 4 star.

Our favourite! Got most of our furniture from them. Good and knowledgeable staff. Guy from the storeroom went above and beyond to get our furniture ready.

Suzy and Beth have now helped me furnish two homes and with their advice I now have beautiful surroundings to come home to.Special thanks to Arjun at the warehouse who always loads my car with good humour (often needed when looking at the space to load in my car) and a smile.I can’t say enough about how wonderful the girls in the Fyshwick store on the weekends are

Shayoni was my Sales Person, very pleasant and highly experienced. Its a niche shop, which covers its Shabby Chic genre very well
