We only spent a couple of hours here having lunch and exploring the waterside, but it was a very pretty area and we parked our 4x4 and caravan in the boat parking area with no problems. It's a lot quieter than some of the other towns on Phillip Island and we really enjoyed our time here.

Rhyll Boat Ramp
A three lane ramp with plenty of vehicle with trailer parking. The pontoon makes loading and unloading passengers so simple at any stage of the tide. It is a difficult ramp to launch and retrieve by yourself if you are not experienced and organised particularly if it is busy.

This ramp is an all tides 3 lane ramp, with caution required for extremely low tides due to the end stop barriers causing possible damage if you drive on.There is cross ramp tidal flow during both flood and ebb tides. However the ramp jetty allows for rope assist on ebb tides.

It's a boat ramp, not a food place. That said, bring a picnic, when the tide is coming in and watch the fun of people trying to get their boats in. Experienced boatys will do it in one attempt. Noobs will mess about for hours. It's funny as hell

Not a very good ramp for smaller boats, the pier is to high to walk boats around, also there is a bridge part on the lhs and my boat almost went all the the under to get stuck, I had to jump into it and drive it out, it’s better than Cowes ramp but not great.

The new parking set up is not good if you don't have a credit card.and if you forget to tap stop on the app you are charged until you do .I gave the ramp 4 stars before the new parking metre set up now I give it a ONE .some say it's vandals that make these places install the pay-stay? System I think it's greed .there was a perfect set up by going to the Rhyll marine shop about 200mtr max return walk to buy a ticket for 24hrs to put on the cars dashboard but no the council took that ability away .so they have lost me and I think a lot more too
