Dr Scott Dunlop is an excellent paediatrician. He asks lots of questions throughout appointments - demonstrating a great capacity to take in information to form an assessment. I always felt my concerns and observations heard as a parent, and treated with respect and intelligence. We trust his measured advice implicitly and couldn’t recommend a better paediatrician.

We have been seeing Dr Dunlop since 2011 with all 3 of our kids and he is amazing. From helping diagnose our eldest with Dyslexia, providing strategies to manage our middle child's strong cheeky personality and various other issues over the years. He is direct, a wealth of knowledge, is always on time, appointments are long and I have never felt rushed and most of all, he has made a positive impact on our family with all his advice. I highly recommend Dr Dunlop.

Very disappointed about the treatment I received as a worried first time mother. I felt my concerns were belittled and brushed off and before I left the practice I’d wish I never booked my long awaited appointment there. I’m an OR nurse and I have seen a lot of things and I just don’t want to be one of those parents that will regret not seeing a specialist. To explain the situation.I’m traveling overseas with my son for 2 months and he had a cough for over 5 weeks now and it didn’t get better. I didn’t trust the GP any longer and wanted everything to be checked out before I travel 22 hours on a plane. Get the green light for it. I mean I’m paying the bill at the end, so please respect me and my concerns and try to hide your strong ego that you have better things to do. Telling me to see the GP next time was clearly enough that I was not welcomed anymore. Done! You won’t see me and my son ever again. I can spend my money in every other practice. No worriesI understand that everyone can have a bad day and you have seen worse but try to treat everyone seen and heard with a pinch of empathy. I’ve been to your practice for the second time now and both times were definitely not an experience I would recommend actually the opposite. Also, maybe you should change the announcement on the answering machine to that it can take 2 days until you respond to the phone calls. And due to the horrible parking situation in your street, let people know about that as well to plan in more time. I couldn’t even reach someone to inform, that I was searching for a parking spot for 8 minutes already it would have taken 2 days for them to respond.

My son Archie has been seeing Dr Dunlop for years. He has always been kind, focused and considerate. He is professional and deals with our concern's promptly. My son suffered terribly with anxiety and having such a great Dr we are in great hands.

Dr Dunlop is clearly very experienced and an excellent practitioner. My husband and I felt we were in great hands when he assessed our newborn in the hospital and at the 6 week appointment. He addressed any concerns we raised with helpful information. He had a laid back and approachable manner. Thankfully our child is healthy but if that were not the case we would definitely be coming back to see Dr Dunlop!

I saw Dr Dunlop last month on the very strong recommendation of two other mums. He was great! He kindly answered all the questions I had about my one year old and interacted really well with him. He gave me a plan of action which made sense and I got the reassurance I needed. The booking process was easy as well - there's a lovely receptionist at Hurstville who offered us an earlier appointment which worked out perfectly for us.Great service all around. Thank you!

This Clinic doesn’t even deserve 1 star with the lack of professionalism from Dr Dunlop. My husband and i waited 20 minutes past our first ever appointment and we’re happy to wait as we can understand sometimes these things can happen. Today we were running late due to not finding any parking and we were approached with a high and rude tone. we called the clinic 3 times to notify them and there was no answer. He showed us nothing but lack of empathy and disrespect as parents who are coming in concerned about our child. As medical practitioners ourselves it’s a shame to see others dealing with situations like this the way Dr Dunlop has. Definitely will not be returning and will return to notify our GP of our pointless and waist of time here. Shame on you .

Worst experience especially for a new mother! Dr Dunlop was so rough with the baby in the hospital, barely spoke to us then sent us a bill for over $500!For our first follow up appointment in his clinic, he had me holding my undressed baby under blasting aircon while he was on the phone for 15 minutes talking badly about another patient in front of me! Then when he was done, he rushed me and wouldn’t let me finish any questions then ended the appointment!!!! He had the receptionist deliver me some results about my baby but she was unable to answer any questions, he wouldn’t speak to me on the phone himself and wouldn’t let me make an appointment to see him without anew referral, I had to redo the test with my GP to get clarity. Overall very unprofessional and very heartless treatment!

We have been seeing Dr Dunlop for the past 2 years for both of our children. He is very thorough and kind. He is ALWAYS on time – which is fantastic for a specialist – who wants to be waiting for an hour with a child?Would highly recommend Dr Dunlop and his associates, he won’t schedule unnecessary appointments - with simple follow-up questions answered via email, rather than having to come back. The reception staff are very welcoming and helpful.

I’ve been taking my daughter to see Dr. Dunlop and Leah for a year or so now, and both have been wonderful. I find both to be very patient and understanding. Both spend the time and effort to get to know and understand my child. Neither of them has ever finished their sessions early. In fact, the sessions often last longer than I paid for. I had a look through the reviews here and I am baffled by the 1-star reviews criticising Dr. Dunlop for charging $300 to $500+ per session, all the while conveniently leaving out the fact that they also received a $140 Medicare rebate. All I can say is, these parents are clearly new to Australia. $300+ for a specialist is actually below average from my experience. I’ve heard of specialists charging $800+ per session. If you can’t afford a specialist, why not just go through the free public Medicare system and wait a few years just for a single session with a new graduate?
