Prices are too high for 2nd hand clothes... St. Vinnies used to be give and take"... you donate your old clothes

Small modern looking store with no smell. No toys or boardgames though.

Well maintained shop mainly offering clothing items with limited brack-a-brack/decor. Seems to have had a change in the last year to a boutique wannabe which might appeal to some but not me. The display case in the front mainly features shoes/bags, while previously it had more unique vintages wares. Books in the back disappeared for a while but a section has returned. Books are often in really good condition but a much smaller section than before. Old DVD/CD section has been cleared with only a handful remaining. As with vinnies Waverley and Maroubra this vinnies has shelves with new bedding which is taking up space that could have been filled with more interesting vintage items.

We walked in 5 minutes before closing didn’t get greeted by staff. As we picked up an item to purchase the rude lady leaning against the wall yelled out closing in 2 minutes. She suddenly was polite when we made a purchase.

Vinnies is OPENING SOON on the main street of Coogee on Coogee Bay Road right next to Maloney’s Grocer. They are a thrift store or Op-Shop filled with lots of second hand items from clothing to homewares. I’m sure it will do well considering the prime position it is located in.
