After discovering our entrance, we were warmly welcomed to our seats. Menu was easy to follow and waiting time was comfortable enough to enjoy a wine and talk about all things charming about the venue.Loved the depth of the journey of the main meal, meaning not too much, just enough. Left feeling absolutely satisfied and lining up our next yearly outing as soon as the opportunity arises. Sláinte

This was our second visit and happy to say that were just as pleased this time with our visit.This time we went a la carte. Just right sized menu with a good range of choices of small and large plates. I like it also that a lot dishes were different from our last visit (about 6 months ago). Wine list is comprehensive and not ridiculously priced with a balance of local and regional wines.Service is good, country casual with friendly and not overbearing wait staff.This time we had a gluten intolerant person in our party and that was handled without fuss and a large range of dishes were on offer for her.My recommendation : choose a variety of dishes and share them.Verdict: We will be back

What an amazing way to finish our little getaway to Mudgee. The service was friendly, informative and efficient. The food was fantastic, every dish was so fresh and had so much great flavours. The atmosphere had a great Sunday vibe with a lovely live music act.

Thanks for all of the effort with heaters to ensure we were relaxed and warm. The temperature dropped suddenly making it unbearably cold but you went to a lot of effort to get heaters and keep them on.And the food was fantastic. It was a pleasure to bring friends to your restaurant

Absolutely love the Barn at blue wren, the menu is always changing and the food has never disappointed, the atmosphere is great whether your inside on a cold day or outside enjoying the sunshine

Great venue. Loved the share plates for mains. Good selection of different types of meats served in interesting ways. Great salad, crispy potatoes and asparagus. Indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Indoors had big fans circulating air in the room. We chose a smooth blue wren reserve shiraz which was delightful. Overall a great experience.

I’ve been here a couple of times now and every single time, The Barn has not disappointed! They’ve changed their menu recently and it amazes me how the chef can produce such delicious plates every single time even with new items on the menu. On this visit, we had the foccacia, stracciatella, suppli (similar to arancini- not pictured) for entree. For mains, the pork & veal polpetta (meatballs) and beef shortrib. For dessert, we had caramel pudding and honey ice cream sandwich which we all thought were both a 10/10. Our waitress was also incredible, so warm and addressed any questions we had- sadly, we didn’t catch her name but she mentioned she was Belgian. I’ll be going back again and again :)

10/10 Food, Service and Atmosphere. Would definitely recommend The Barn to locals and out of towners. Highly recommend the Arancini, Pork Cutlet and Rib Eye! Desserts were also very good. Will definitely visit The Barn again!

There is no better place in Mudgee for a meal. If you want delicious, fresh, seasonal produce that has been prepared perfectly without being too ‘tricky’ this is the place to go.The staff are incredible experts, always so welcoming, warm and knowledgeable and you can tell everyone who is there, wants to be there.The jewel in Mudgee’s crown - The Barn is unbeatable.
