The staff here are incredible! I came here after a botched hair cut and Lucy worked her magic and I left over the moon. She’s a magician. Honestly couldn’t recommend them more!

Been coming here for a few years now, and have only ever had one bad experience (below). I only come in about two or three times a year if I’m feeling fancy. They always remember me and make me feel like a mate, and always do a great job, no matter who I’m in the chair with (my favourite is Lyndsay though!)EDIT: unfortunately now I’ve had a bad experience, only with colour and with a staff member who was new to me, as I hadn’t been to the salon in some time due to COVID.Full disclosure, I was one of the people who colored their own hair in lockdown. It wasn’t a professional job, but it wasn’t a horrible job either. I booked in for a colour consultation, wrote down all the history of everything I had put in my hair, and brought pictures of how things faded out. We chatted for a while, about what my concerns were, what I was after with photo references, and how I like to keep things as low-maintenance as possible. I like my natural colour at my roots because it makes grow out easier and more even, so a little sun-kissed golden balayage throughout with concentration around my face is what I was after. I knew it was easier said than done as there was already complicated history in my hair, but she gave me no reason to think that we couldn’t achieve what I was after with any issue.She’s a lovely person, but despite all my preparation and communication, she didn’t at all manage expectations, pushed me to use techniques and choose super light and ashen toners that weren’t right for me, and did some of the weirdest placement of foils (to my roots) and highest lift I’ve had potentially ever in my hair-colouring life. Then tried to blame my dislike of my hair on me. I felt like she just completely ignored what I had spent a long time talking to her about, and instead just did what she wanted to do, not at all achieving the results I was after. I had to come in twice to try to get it right (I do have a lot of hair and this was her first time doing it) but still left unhappy, being told to let it settle, don’t do any more to it, and it would grow out nicely, so I could do what I wanted to next time...It’s now been 6 weeks and I’m still so unhappy every time I look in the mirror. Unfortunately it is not growing out nicely, especially around my face, and the toner seems to be getting more and more yellow. Very bummed as I now have to spend even more money to go somewhere else to get it fixed up so it can grow properly and not cost me a fortune every few weeks :(I still recommend this place for hair cuts! And I’m sure this particular staff member does great colour for other people, but she has a particular style / singular technique that doesn’t work for everyone - definitely not for me.
