We took the family fishing and only one of us caught an eel. The barge is large and spacious with is good. The day we went the river was very muddy since we had flooding weeks before so there was also much debris mostly sticks and branches. Parking bat and a picnic bench and toilet. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves. 8 of us on the barge fishing at once. As we were leaving another 3 cars pulled up, so I'm guessing it's a good fishing spot. We are beginners with regards fishing so perhaps next time if we are quieter we might caught more?? I recommend a visit.

It’s a nice picnic area but no bbq machines. I love the walking tracks all around the park.

It's beautiful with the natural wild birds of all kinds walking tracks bike riding fishing with a little Jetty quiet place to sit and have a picnic

Interesting place right on the Hunter River very popular for fishing and even a small Wharf for boats and a picnic area.
