An absolutely beatiful place and the perfect site for birdwatching and bird photography. There are a large variety of waterbirds, parrots and many others.There's a small breeding colony of rainbow lorikeets and red rumped parakeets in the creek closer to the enterance to the gardens and you will almost always find moorhens in and around the pond.

Bird hides are constructed as shelters for bird watchers to observe birds at close quarters without disturbing them.disturbing them.This green-roofed timber-walled hide is positioned on the edge of Lake Nadungamba in The Australian Botanic Garden at Mt Annan. It is ideal for watching water birds on the lake and for photography..Best accessed from Cunningham Drive when heading into the Garden but can also be reached when heading out again, just park near the bridge over the Upper Canal.

It keeps you out of sight so birds are not so easily scared off... nice peaceful place to get some interesting shots or just to study the wildlife in the area... a little due to the cooler season upon is but come spring this place should be amazing.. I know I'll be back.. many times...

It's a wooden building designed to allow you to watch birds. Seems pretty well maintained, access is quite easy (only a few mins short walk from the car park) and is a nice spot to watch the black swans, ducks, morehens and other native feathered fauna floating about.

The entrance of the park, a natural and peaceful lake. It is very characteristic of natural scenery. Really Like here
