I loved this place! The routes are challenging and creative, high good vibes and very good playlists. Staff people are awesome, Very Professional. Bonus: the girlz working there are very pretty ;)

Terrible route setting, need to go twice to get lead certified, not enough hard routes. The top rope belay system is ridiculous and these funky contraptions (see photo) will lead to more accidents outdoor as people don't learn proper belaying. Staff was friendly though and if you are a beginner, I'm pretty sure you can enjoy. If your an experienced climber, go somewhere else.

Beautiful display, a place with full natural light and fans (important for summer!) and nice routes also!. Coffee on site is a big bonus, although I did not tried it yet. Staff is friendly.Love the little section for training (on the left, behind the walls). Would be a regular if I live closer. Bike parking a bonus. Parking for cars after 6pm is free (before other shops use it)

I frequent this climbing gym and they are always friendly and usually have a new route to climb every week. A great mix of skill levels and areas to climb. Good facilities too. The holds are usually very clean and don’t show the signs of wear that others gyms can have. On multiple occasions I have seen the staff out the front power washing the individual holds, that have been changed over on the walls, which shows their dedication to keeping the place to a high standard.Good coffee and rest area too

Breathtaking experience; a must if you want to test your limits, learn something new, or just have a great time! Gabriel the trainer for induction was fantastic at ‘showing us the ropes’ of belaying and was supportive and was really encouraging. Our first time here but will definitely come again!

Very rude staffs. The belay setup is a joke in the climbing world. For top roping, you can only use their grigri+ which are fixed to the ground. Therefore, the position of the belay devices are so far away from your belay loop which is extremely awkward to take and feed slack. Moreover, when climbing you must use a single carabiner (clip into your belay loops) rather than a figure-of-eight to tie in. It’s not only unsafe, but will also damage the stitching of your belay loop when you fall and get lowered. My stitching now starting to detach after only two climbs there.The staffs there are also extremely rude. Because I have never used a grigri+ before, I asked one of them (called Febe) how to feed slack when my climbing partner was on the wall. She had no patience at all and said that she wouldn’t bother to teach me. If I wanted to learn, I had to take there courses. If I had any complaints, then just go other climbing gyms. I understand that the climbing resource in Melbourne is limited, but I was still shocked by the degree of her rudeness. She was the most overbearing climbing gym staff I have ever met. Highly not recommended if you have other choices.

Northwall is a rope gym with not only great routes but great staff as well. The walls have several different angles and that makes the climb so much more interesting than a vertical flat wall imo. The walls are tall and there is a nice amount of routes for each grade. Is this a quality gym you should visit? Absolutely do it!

Great rock climbing venue. Facilities are good, the instructors are friendly, fun and informative. The equipment is clean and the walls have a wide variety of difficulties. I just wished there were more easier ones with angles/curves so some of us could experience that. Overall a good weekend activity to do.
