Great place to visit, a very surreal experience! Well worth going just before sunset to see the kangaroos having a drink but stay in your car or they will get spooked. It's a great place for astro photography too with very little ambient light.

The area is well maintained and signposted. The hub is attractive with fabulous orange gums. Didn't really get the viewing platform but the whole area was nice. Lots of kangaroo and birds.

Stopped here with the family and the watertank artwork was great especially how it was made. Plenty of things to do like go for a walk on one of the many tracks or stop to have a bite to eat at the Cafe or you can have a picnic. There is also a playground for the kids.

Nice area to drive through. The cafe on Lake Makoan serves excellent meals and there are several walking tracks along the lake lead which from the cafe.August '21 The marshlands are filled following recent heavy rains. Many long necked turtles on and along the side of the roads so take care when driving.

Nice conservation with good flora and fauna. Would help if you have a good camera. We found a mob of wallabies resting by the lake. It can get very hot here depending on the weather, recommend carrying water if you venture far along the trail which I think is as long as eye can see.

Glad we called in and explored the area after driving past way too often. In addition to the water tank (many photos here already) and other features We checked out some other features too before exploring further onto the Silo Trail""

Definitely worth camping here. Incredible sunrises and sunsets from the Eagles Nest site. Dam wall ride is stunning. Easily accessible, good little Cafe. Stop by if you're in the area.
