This pub has a great atmosphere!HOWEVER, we were very disappointed with the meals.The chips were old and stale, the batter on the fish was undercooked. And when discussed with the chef, they offered one of the 4 meals to be re- cooked!We did not want a replacement meal, as we were wanting to leave.So to add to this disappointment, a refund for at least one of the meals was declined!Definitely only deserves the 1 star for the kitchen service.The bar staff were friendly and personable!

Always a great place to eat and have a couple of cold beers. The meals are top notch the service excellent and the staff very friendly and courteous. Always try to have a meal there when I'm in Bundy. Totally recognize the the Young Australian Hotel.

Menu reduced because chefs had left. Not changed online and very disappointed. Salad was lettuce and loads of it and bit of grated carrot. No vegetarian or vegan option available. Opted to have nothing as friends had their lunch. None of us will ever go there again and will tell all who will listen. Staff tried best to accommodate with ridiculous situation. Never come across such a bad place for a meal.

Came out for dinner as a group, great food, great service. Filled us all completely, definitely will be kept in mind for my next visit back. Ribs so soft you could cut and pull apart with a fork, chips cooked beautiful in nice clean oil, beautiful steak sandwich and lovely steak, slightly overcooked but I think that was more due to letting it sit

Been coming to the young Aussie for the past 2 years now, definitely my favourite pub in Bundaberg.Especially during current inflation I find food cost:service:quality ratio to be on the ball. Majority of the team members definitely seem to enjoy working there when you go in during the quiet period, of course it's hard to seem like your having a good time when flat out.Some of the cheapest and best pub cooked steaks I've had in Bundaberg. Only on the nights where their main chefs have been away have I experienced a sub par steak.Sub par in the manner that they just need more practise cooking steaks, NOT sub par as in barely edible, super overcooked steak.The chicken schnitty has always done me good, even when sick or struggling to eat regular meals.The worst food item I have ordered to date was the chicken club burger. Not because it was bad but just because it needs some seasoning/sauce adjustments to make it a little less bland/monotonous texture and taste.Side note: the Diane sauce is to die for.

Hands down best Steak / Pub Feed I've ever had. I chose the Angus special with prawns, calamar, coral trout topper, my better half had the coconut coral trout. The entire menu and the meals I saw come out the kitchen looked incredible. Pricing, Service absolutely nailed the lot guys..... Wish it was my local! Top effort guys 11/10.
