Big thank you to the pilot and ground crew for a very exciting and enjoyable day .

With a plane obsessed child who wants to be a pilot this was the perfect gift. We showed up and met Don, a very laid back guy, who immediately put our 12 year old at ease. Given a leather flight jacket, old school helmet and goggles, he was off. An excited kid took off, an ecstatic one landed half an hour later. Can't recommend highly enough

This museum is awesome and the Volunteers (Ladies and Gentlemen ) are all very knowledgeable. It brought back memories as a 9year old on my first flight in a DC3 IN 1960 from Roma to Brisbane or Gold Coast not sure. This Saturday will be awesome with engine stars, and Guest speakers from Women in Aviation don't miss this.

I needed something that would push the boundaries of fear, this absolutely nailed it. Exceptional experience from start to finish, all the guys and girls at Matt Hall Racing went above and beyond to offer an experience that will stay with me for quite sometime.

I don't normally review" but have to on this one... Had the surprise of my life when my awesome friends arranged a flight with Matt in the Extra 300L out of Moorabbin.WOW what an experience. Not for the faint hearted for the full experience but Matt tailors the flight to suit you and your limits. HIGHLY recommended. The only down side is your next flight is going to be positively boring ...Thanks Matt

Awesome watching the planes land and take off

Quite nervous prior to the flight but very much enjoyed it once in the seat and underway. John is very professional and worked hard to make sure I’d like it. I did. The vertical stall -where the engine and my heart both almost stopped was crazy. Highly recommend it!

I went for a flight yesterday. John provided a thorough brief in the terminal about what we would do during the flight and made sure I was comfortable - the emphasis was on safety and fun.He then took me to the aircraft and made sure I was seated and secured and had again ensured I was comfortable.The flight started with a nice gentle fly over the local area which was very informative and great to see.Then we went into the warbird phase of the flight and we did all the maneuvers as briefed and again at each stage John made sure I was feeling fine. He briefed each maneuver and preformed them safely and it was an absolute pleasure to feel, smell and see the world in a way only a combat flight can provide.John will tailor the flight to your level so if you are adventurous then you are in for a treat and if you are not then he wont perform all the top end maneuvers but will always ensure you are safe and are having fun.A video of your flight is available after the flight for a very reasonable fee.I thoroughly enjoyed the flight and highly recommend Combat Flights Gippsland!

The F111 museum in Evans Head is a fantastic aviation museum that has a wide range of military aircraft on display. The centre piece of course is a lovingly restored F111, but many other aircraft from different eras are also on display. I especially liked that adults and kids can enter some of the exhibits and experience the sometimes cramped conditions inside old military aircraft, to get a sense of all the buttons, dials and instruments. Our four year old daughter loved the Caribou!The museum also offers information panels, specs, history and other interesting items that relate to the aircraft, RAAF history and the Evans Head Aerodrome.The museum is run entirely by knowledgeable and kind volunteers and we were lucky enough to get a tour of the F111 with Joel who used to work on this type in the RAAF. He has a wealth of knowledge and many interesting anecdotes to tell about this plane. Definitely visit here when you're in the area!
